Vehicle History

The first owner had this car on a three year lease and put 16,500 miles on it. The second owner purchased it in 2002, as a certified pre-owned,from Acura of Brookfield, WI. For most of its life it was routinely serviced there, by one of the most well respected techs in the NSX community. He can vouch for the quality of this car and personally recommended it to the gentleman I purchased it from. He also did the clutch install for him. The Carfax has a decent amount of the previous service history, but not all of the details. However, if you call AOB they can tell you about any specific services. I called them to find out when the timing belt service had last been performed, prior to my ownership. The Carfax and Autocheck are clean; no accidents and no stories. This is my fourth NSX and I cannot detect any kind of paint work and I have a pretty good idea where to look.

When I purchased this NSX it had three modifications. A dealer (AOB) installed Comptech low boost supercharger kit, that was installed on 5/29/2003 at 21,638 miles. It also had an aftermarket exhaust, and lowing springs, that were installed on 1/8/2003. However, I thought this car would be much nicer as a 100% stock example, due to its excellent condition and decided to return the car to what mother Honda had originally delivered. It has been gone through methodically and meticulously by me to ensure the highest level of quality. Compression and leak down tests were completed and everything checks out great with the numbers pictured below. My goal was to make the car perform flawlessly for the next owner, for many year to come.

Maintenance recently performed in Sept 2016 at 39,000 miles:

·Timing belt service with valve adjustment including TB, WP, tensioner bearing, and plugs.

·All 23 coolant hoses and a new expansion tank.

·New vtec solenoid gaskets and oil pan gasket and accessory belts.

·Replaced main relay as a precaution.

·Because the car was previously supercharged; installed a new fuel pump along with filter and had the injectors re-calibrated by RC Engineering. All for good measure and not required.

·Replaced the ABS pump and flushed the entire brake system with new ATE fluid.

·Replaced clutch master and slave cylinders.

·The axles were professionally rebuilt by Indy Rack and Axle (lifetime warranty) due to a ripped boot, which also necessitated transmission fluid change.

·Climate control board was repaired by Brian K.

·Prior to my ownership the car received a new clutch at roughly 33,000 miles. There is no paperwork, but I spoke to the tech who did it.

·New Bridgestone tires were installed in the last few years and look to be almost new.

·Car was just aligned by Ed Martin Acura, Indianapolis.

·PPI completed at the same time by Ed Martin Acura, Indianapolis and passed with flying colors. They thought the car was phenomenal and required absolutely nothing.

Overall Condition:

The overall condition of the paint is excellent. However, it’s by no means perfect. There are stone chips and some light peppering on the front that can be seen via close inspection. There are a few touch ups on the rear bumper, a few scratches, and a few very slight dings that are all very difficult to detect and almost impossible to photograph. The worst blemish was a scrape at the lower edge of the front valance that I had repaired professionally and it is now undetectable. The glass all has the original Honda markings and there are no chips in the windshield. The interior is also in incredible condition. The leather is beautiful with very minimal wear on the driver’s seat bolster. The carpets look great and the original floor mats remain. There is almost no bubbling on the console and switch panels and the stock radio functions properly, as does the AC. The wheels have no curb rash, but one of the rears has a few minor areas where the chrome is starting the flake. The spare tire, pump, and tools are all intact and in serviceable condition.

This is an incredibly nice NSX. It has zero modifications, all original paint, fairly low miles, and just received a comprehensive maintenance service. Personally, I believe this car to be right in the sweet spot where it has fairly low miles, but it can still be driven while maintaning it's collectability. Condintion is subjective, but I’d rate it a solid 2 on the Hagerty Valuation tool and I have very high standards. https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools

Please feel free to contact me for additional information. I also have the Carfax and AutoCheck reports that I'd be happy to pass along.
