2005 Acura TL Description

Hi everybody,

Just like most guys getting married; the lack of money, time, patience on her part are the reasons I’m selling my car. I will try to be as descriptive as possible. So that everyone knows the ins and outs of the car. I encourage EVERYONE to do research when it comes to this car/the parts/ you local laws when regarding registering and titling a car with 20% tinted window/ tinted head&tail lights. This sale is final and no warranty is expressed or implied. Good luck everyone and I hope this car goes to someone that appreciates it for what it it. This vehicle is not stock in any way.

History

I bought the car about 5 year ago with 71k miles from a friend that did a good bit of the work. The car has had nothing but mobile one synthetic oil from day one and I’ve continued with that every 5k. The manual transmission has royal purple synthetic in it change at 80k. The spark plugs are E3 changed at 109k. I had the timing belt and water pump was done around 105k from honda man in Arizona about 3 years ago. I had the driver front cv joint replace at honda under warranty. I replaced the driver side mirror because of fading. I replace the passenger side yellow side marker because it went out. I replaced the both front wheel well liners. I had the 20% tint redone with 3M tint about a year and half ago. I replaced the driving/fog light with putco LED’s. I just polished the headlight. The clutch is still original. I think there are some recalls on the vehicle. I got rear ended on the highway and I hit the guy in front of me in 2014 and the car sustained moderate HAIL damage last year. These items are NOT on the car fact’s. The Hail and rock chips are difficult to capture in photos, this will explain random angles it the photos. I know the car shows well but I don't want any surprises when someone comes to look at the car.

The BAD

Please pay special attention to this because I want to be transparent as possible. Again the car has HAIL damage and I was rear ended a few years ago. For a car with 126k on the odometer, the paint does show signs of age. I bought a custom car cover but the arizona sun had it’s way with the paint. There are numerous rock chips, 1 notable rust spot on the passenger front fender, there is a small faded area forward of the sun roof opening, the passenger door handle is missing a small part. There is a 10” scratch, thanks to boy scouts at a charity carwash. I don't have the code for the Gps and the back up camera doesn’t work. When I redid the audio system I took out the switching components for all the head rest monitors and dvd player. The USA spec iPhone interface isn’t working but it still charges. It is hooked up directly to the XM source. I think it needs an new cable leading to the phone since it’s been pinched a few times. The Dash board started to crack about a year ago. The factory radio drops off the passenger front channel at low volume. The airbag light comes on after you put on the driver seat belt. Which I’ve been told will be covered at the dealer. The headliner is starting to sag a little in the back. I no longer have the trunk floor cover-see photo. The driver front tire always wears a 1/2 inch strip on the inner most of the tire. I’ve had it aligned several times but rotate my tires every 15k-20k to avoid any issues. Both sets of rims are not as true(straight as they use to be when new). The car needs a new v band clamp before the resonator. The Tenzo concept 9 wheel barely clear the front brembo calipers so I had to get custom 6mm wheel spacers with hub rings machined from aluminum. The passenger front side skirt has small cracks in the paint closer to the front wheel. The steering is ever so slightly off-I hold the steering wheel maybe 1-2 degrees to the right when driving in a straight line. One of the bulbs in the temperature control needs to be changed.

The GOOD

The car has a Ron Jonpolyurethanebody kit on it. The old owner put an A-SPEC suspension in all 4 corners and I had to put in an Eibach camber kit in the rear to bring them back into spec. I put in a dura last yellow top battery to deal with the Arizona heat. I just had a new windshield put in 3 months ago. The engine has a AFE cold air intake with pre filter to help out with water and debris. As mentioned before, there are 3 pairs 6 monitors in this vehicle with 2 in the sun visors/ 2 in the front head rest/ 2 in the rear most head rest. The Dvd is in the rear armrest. The leather is in good shape with no tears. I redid the audio system about 2 years ago. I put i an clarion 4x75 amp and a single alpine v12 100 watt amp. The plan was to upgrade the amp to a 5x100 but that never happened. As far as speakers, the fronts speakers are kicker 5” CS components The rears are 6.75” kicker coaxial. Helping control all of this stuff is a kicker front row digital signal processor which gives you time alignment and control. The sub is a 12” shallow mount. I installed cross drilled rotors front and back about 3 years. The brembo caliper have EBC green stuff which helps out with the dust. The rear pads are regular. The exhaust system is a Comp Tech. The old owner put in a Comp Tech short shift kit. The current and what use to be my winter rims are 19” Tenzo concept 9. The summer set are a paint matched, staggered fitment, polished lip, 2 piece 19” IFORGED swift wheels. Google these to figure out how much these are worth. I had these straightened and redone twice. Again, I don't have the cash to do that anymore since I’m a full time student. The tires have 3k on them they are sumitomoherIII 245/34r19. The car is mechanically sound.

The conclusion.

I would like from this car to go to someone that can finish it. It is a good car and I’ve gotten my share of compliments about it. Thanks everyone. I will try to get to all of your questions asap. I will give you the acura service manual/ car cover/ both sets of wheels/ addition wheel spacers and all manuals/ 2 sets of keys and fabs. I HAVE MORE PHOTOS BUT EBAY LIMITS JUST HOW MANY I CAN LIST.EMAIL ME AND I CAN SEND YOU MORE.
