1991 Acura NSX Coupe 2-Door 3.0L w/GruppeM Supercharger
1991 Acura NSX Description
This is a 25 year old NSX driver in beautiful condition, that I have owned since April 2004. I am the 3rd owner.... Not a show car. It does have some blemishes: Scuff mark on lower LH rear bumper, paint rubbed thru (about 1/4") where RH rear fender meets up with spoiler, small dent RH rear wheel arch and usual small stone chips on hood and leading edges of front fenders.
I justremoved the front bumper and had it repainted and installed new "Acura" emblem. The drivers door had a good 'ding' in i, so I had it fixed and door repainted. The rest of the exterior and paint are excellent.
The interior is newish (within past 10,000 miles) perforated black leather seats.
The engine has the following mods: GruppeM supercharger kit, Taitec headers, Random performance catalytic converters and RM Racing exhaust. This is a wonderful mod and should have been included from the factory IMHO. Gives you about 350 HP to the wheels. Does not stress stock engine internals as it is limited to 5 psi boost.
The transmission is the original 5 speed that is NOT in snap ring range. I just recently installed a new SOS sport single discclutch & flywheel. Also installed new master and slave clutch cylinders. At the same time, I serviced CV joints andinstalled new boots.
The suspension is upgraded with Comptech USA front and rear sway bars, Tanabi springs with stock shocks. A set of Bilstein shocks is included, if you want car to sit even lower.
I have added the factory fog lights and low beamheadlights are upgraded with McCulloch HID's (this was a kit sold by an NSX Prime member)
Everything on the car works as it should, there are no warning lights. I have, in the recent past, replaced the master relay and the ignition switch. I had AC system upgraded to R134a and it works great, all fan speeds work as they should as does full auto. It has a Cobra security system and remote installed by a previous owner.
The ABS system is typical early NSX, noisy when cycling, and it cycles often. But it does work, I tested it! I have installed a jumper to permit me to temporarily deactivate it. Brakes work fine with it OFF. I do have and o-ring kit to rebuild ABS module, but I will let new owner do it.
The water pump and timing belt were replaced at 74,000 (17K miles ago). I inspected the belt, recently, while I was doing valve adjustment check and it appears in new condition.
IMHO these cars, in this condition and stock are worth $35k easy. With this NSX you get $15K worth of bolt on mods (s/charger, headers, exhaust wheels and suspensioncomponents), that can easily be 'unbolted' and stock parts reinstalled...... AND they should hold their value for years to come. There's not a lot of cars out there, in this price range that won't be depreciating.
Prefer to sell to someone that can actually come and see the vehicle.
Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to remove from eBay if sold.
