1962 Alfa Romeo Spider Description

Firstly before the actual auction details a little bit of history on this auction...I listed the ad last week on thursday. Within 5 minutes an ebay buyer (and auto dealer) hit "buy it now". Upon contacting him with down payment infohe decides he wanted to negotiate (didn't happen) so he said he wanted out. I let him out because I wanted the auction to run and find a serious buyer. So I relist it, and guess what, 5 minutes later another ebayer (German guy with over 100 positives) hits 'buy it now'.I contact him and he wonders why it was listed, ende, then relisted. I explain to him the above and he says he wants out because I sold the car twice and I amnot trustworthy - argh! This guy I report to Ebay and they are dealing with him.So, the reason for my explanation - If you saw the ad and had a question/ made an offer/ other please understand I couldn't mail you back through Ebay once thelast buyer hit "buy it now". It was only up for a period of 10-15 minutes.
So now the details...Just purchased this from an estate sale. It is a true garage find.1962 Alfa Romeo Guilietta Spider spider convertible. Been in garage since early 90's.It runs well - does not stop as all four brakes were frozen from sitting. Managed to unseize so it rolls but no brakes. It looks to be very complete except for some chrome trim pieces apparently missing in the front. It has incorrect seats (chevy).Red carpeted interior, all gauges, appears to have original steering wheel with horn ring in great shape. When i removed the hardtop (included in sale) i found the convertible top sto'ed away underneath! This sale includes both hard and soft tops. The hard top is made by Parrish and I believe could be rare. The car will need a complete restoration . It has had some previous repair work which while strengthening it appear incorrect.I'm a Porsche guy and don't need another restoration project so it has to go.I say it needs a restoration but indeed it could be driven now as is if you repaired the brakes and some wiring issues. It does run and shift - clutch ok.Please contact me with any questions.Expect clear title in hand by 10/21 or sooner.I will help buyer in loading onto buyer supplied shipping truck.
good luck and happy bidding!
