1971 Alfa Romeo Spider Description

Two owners, meticulously maintained, no known issues. Same owner last 21 years.
The 1750 Alpha Romeo Spider was the first car designed with the Kamm Tail, the squared off rear end design was a cleaner shape and gave the1750 higher speeds than the old round tail. This spider has a 5 speed transmission, Spica fuel injection, leather interior, four wheel disc brakes.
The first owner of 25 years kept the car in Laguna Beach CA where it was maintained from new by APC ( Alpha Performance-Orange County,CA) Until the present owner purchased the car in 1996.The car was originally light metallic blue, the eccentric owner, known as "The whale lady of Laguna" had painted with a brush and white paint slogans to save the whales and dolphins. Within 3 days of purchase thecar was painted Ferrari Fly Yellow with 2.5 lbs of ground pearl added to the paint. Other upgrades are the wooden steering wheel, newer wheels a new black convertible top and chrome pieces. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The current mileage of 73,998 is correct. The car has been lovely cared for and only driven 7K miles in the last 18 years by the present car collector.
In 2003 APC did a valve job on the engine adding hardened valves to run on unleaded premium only gas. In 2013 the rocker panels were rust proofed and repainted to prevent the usual rust problem of an Alpha, rusted rocker panels which can weaken the cars structure. The owner added Anza exhaust system for awesome sound and improved horsepower. The only apparent need at this time would be to thoroughly detail the engine compartment for show.
No rust, no mechanical issues, new black convertible top, new tires and original white leather ( special ordered) interior.
These cars are an investment that is increasing. Can't make any warranty on this Alpha, but come look, if it is not as described. Don't buy it. We are car guys looking for someone else to enjoy this Alpha. Shipping is your expense. We will work with your shipper within one week of purchase.
