1969 AMC AMX Coupe - 2 Seater Description

Thisit is not your average 1969 AMX. The car spent its whole lifein sunny California until I purchased it last fall. Car will need paint has no rust whatsoever the last time that it was painted was 1983.The AMX has had only three owners.

Thecar was fathomed after Craig Breedlove's AMX that won the USAC endurance record February 1968in Texas Alllights work as they should, theglass all good no chips are breaks. The trunklid is an original George Barris fiberglass creation. Most of the add on forthis AMXwould be impossible to find today.
The engine is a rare1970 dog leg port 390 with a Group 19 Factory Cross-Ram. The block was bored .030"over, De-burred and blue printed with oil by-pass line, with remote oil filter and oil cooler.Pistons are forged 401 .030", with re-con rods balanced andshoot peened. Block, rods and crank were also mag-flex. Dog-Leg Heads are ported and polished with screw in guides and harden seats. Group 19 Cam with roller rockers. Running a Richmond 5-Speed with a 3:27 1st gear and 1:1 in 5th gear. Hurst shifter and linkage. Lakewood Scatter shield and Centerforce clutchon a OME flywheel.Stock rear end with 3:15 gears and atrac-loc posi. Rare factory free flow exhaust manifolds run into 2-1/2" X pipe then out 4" SuperTrapp's Do to health reasons the car had been stored for the last 15 years and just pulled it out andwent though it to get it running again. Started building this car to be driven and ithas gone up from CA.and back fromHot August Nights in Renofrom 1995 to 2000. Putting on a total of 2,455 miles. The X does need Paint and Body. It has a Fiberglass trunk lid with the spoiler built in alone with the end caps too. There are small door dings and the paint has chip in many location. I started to scrap the paint off of the roof one night and that is the reason for the primer red on the roof. The bumpers are straight. all stainless steel trim is on the car. The car was and is fun to drive. I have gottenit up and running and it still runs great. I have a list of all things done to the AMX
