This car is very fun and I am very in love with it.
I bought it for $4000 with engine problems a year ago, took it into the shop and ended up having to swap the engine out completely. The car had 120,000 miles on it and was swapped with an engine that had been completely reworked to look and perform like new. since owning it I have put a bit of money into it, probably more than I should have, but here is the list:
-bought car with engine issues last year for $4,000
-Engine swap, timing belt, alternator, spark plugs, etc. - $7,000
-two 12" subs from PB and an amp to match- $700
-35% tinting all around the car (the Illinois legal legal limit) (has lifetime warranty) $300
-window visors from weather tech (also has lifetime warranty) $160
-trunkliner from weather tech-$110
-professionally installed 10k headlights- $450
-dual 11224 magnaflow mufflers, professionally welded together-$550
-dual 4" custom cut chrome exhaust tips- $100
-exhaust resonator delete along with exhaust leak fixed $150
-18" Touren machine face black rims with matching low profile tires (brand new, less than 5,000 miles on them) $1800
-red brake calipers kit and application -$30
-headlight and tailight tinted protectant film (protects against rocks and other debris that chips away lights) $320
-set of winter tires on the original rims that have less than 25,000 miles on them (has insurance through tire barn) - $800
-second set of remote key- $350
car has been well maintained with regular oil changes at 3,000 miles with high mileage full synthetic mobil one (even though manual and oil states that it can go for well over 5-10k miles).
I have had the codes read on this car many times since the engine swap and it is throwing a code that signals that with the new exhaust the back pressure isn't there, this is not something that has to be fixed to make the car run well, I have not done anything to fix it so the CEL is on. . The car currently has 150k miles on it and has not had any problems other than the engine which was when I first bought it. I'm open to offers that reflect the listed price and value of car. If you are looking for a fun car that looks beautiful and can also double as a daily then this is your car for sure. This car is an absolute beast in winter with the AWD Quattro system, which makes it perfect for Illinois winter weather, perfect for being a winter commuter, This car has been kept in almost showroom condition since purchase and I have regularly washed and waxed it every week since purchase. this car is very cheap to insure as it is so safe, I have owned the car for two years now and paid $40 a month for full coverage. car has not been in any accidents and I own the title. open to cash offers within reason, wanting to sell to pay for college tuition.
