2003 Audi A4 Description

The Good;

This little Audi is in pretty decent condition. runs excellent and drives very well, no check engine lights. front tires are in good condition, rear tires show edge wear but should be decent enough for this summer season. exhaust has no leaks, all brakes have been recently replaced with new pads, rotors and calipers in the back and new pads and rotors in the front. the car stops very well, quickly and smoothly. also recently replaced timing belt, water pump, timing belt pulleys, serpentine belt, and valve cover gaskets. synthetic oil always used. interior is in good shape aside from a good cleaning. body is in good condition but does have typical bumper scuff marks, small scratches, and the clear coat is peeling from the front bumper and rearview door mirrors. I have been driving this car for the last 3000 miles and it has been very reliable. engine is very powerful and sounds nice and throaty when you get on the pedal. accelerates very quickly

The Not so Good;

The top does not work. It can be opened manually by one determined person (like myself) or easily by two people. the auto top module shows an error code of 01996 convertible top switch implausible signal. Whatever that means. might be an easy fix, might not. I can show the winner of the auction how to open the top manually

The Bad;

Has a small transmission problem which is typical for all audi's in this age range with a cvt transmission. when you put it drive and go it will work normally but occasional will shudder. I have considered repairing it, for myself a mechanic with a fully equipped shop at my disposal it's not very expensive, however very time consuming. and from what I've learned the problem will most likely repeat itself soon after anyway. However, if you put the shifter into manual shift mode, and shift thru the gears yourself ( It's easy, it's just a flick of the wrist) the problem doesn't exist, and it shifts smoothly, precisely, and crisply, and is SO much more fun. Like I said I've driven this car for the last 3000 miles like this and it has not been a problem

I'm selling this car because I never intended on keeping it. I traded my daily driver to the person who owned this car last as he was a good customer and in need a vehicle when the water pump went. Just trying to recoup my expenses. If I didn't have two kids and an 80lb dog I'd probably keep as it is very fun to drive.
