2001 Audi Allroad Description

. . This is an auction for a very clean 2001 Audi Allroad with a 2.7T Twin-Turbocharged V6. It has a 5-speed Automatic transmission with a manual-shift tiptronic feature which includes a +/- shifter on either side of the steering wheel for either hand to have complete control of the shifting. The steering wheel as well as the seats, is heated. The car has an Audi Symphony CD/Cassette headunit installed. The car has 195,xxx miles from numerous trips to Florida and back over it's life, however the car was ALWAYS serviced at Audi dealerships in Connecticut and I have some of the records proving as such. It is a one owner car and I have owned it for about 3 years after that owner and have myself had it serviced at Audi of Fairfield. I change my own oil and use Mobil 1 with MANN or Mahle oil filters. The most recent services I had completed were having both upper and lower radiator hoses replaced (preventative), as well as the longer of the two oil cooler hoses (small leak), and about a month or so prior had the fuel pump (preventative) and fuel filter (partially clogged) as a preventative measure as the pump's output was deteriorating. The water pump is bad and needs to be replaced, so I parked it before it had the chance to overheat the engine and blow the head-gaskets or turbos however the plastic impellor of the water pump coupled with it's age and mileage and lack of any coolant in the engine, failed. I have included with the car, a water pump, thermostat, timing belt, timing belt tensioner "grenade", and tensioner rollers as well as the cam locking tool to complete the job safely. The valve covers are also leaking, but are an easy simultaneous repair once you're doing the timing belt/water pump repair anyway. Also included are new valve cover gaskets, cam seals, "half-moon" plugs, and cam tensioner gaskets. As a bonus, if the car reaches a pre-determined amount between $2,500 and $3,000, I will include a set of Arnott Generation II airbags mated to Bilstein Sport shocks that I bought from another enthusiast to install. The "second" suspension also includes a brand new Arnott Generation I front air bag of which the car already has two of installed in the front of the car presently. The car has very beefy rubber Audi A6/Allroad floor mats similar to Weathertech mats, but are OEM Audi and snap onto the floor. I did buy a Weathertech cargo mat for the way back as well, which comes with the car. Built into the rear of the car is a hide-away dog-barrier, and there is also a removable rear sun-shade for the cargo area. The car has a 4-level air-suspension that works very well, the compressor is strong and fast, and the car raises and lowers through all of the settings, however there is a VERY slight leak in the right rear bag which will cause the car to lower over about a week, but isn't noticeable if driven daily and parked for no longer than 2-3 days. The driver's rear window doesn't roll down at the moment, but it was always finicky, I think it's the main driver's switch, so I bought a new one and it comes with the car, you just need to install it. The CEL is on for oxygen sensors as well as a torque convertor lock-up failure code, but it only came up a few months before I stopped driving the car around April '16, so I would think there is atleast a year or two left in the TC before the seal fails, so fix it now, or wait a year or so until it starts presenting problems, which is what I would have chosen to do. I parked the car ultimately when the water pump failed, I bought all of the parts and tools to repair it, and the valve cover gaskets, I just never had the space to do it myself. There is an independent Audi/Porsche shop willing to repair the VC gaskets etc. and the water pump/timing kit install, together for $1100 right down the street from where the car is located, so if you're local it may be easy to just drive the car down the street, drop it off with the parts, and once it's repaired, simply drive it home. Audi wanted $1,700 for EACH repair. I would do this repair easily myself, it takes about 5-6 hours for a competent DIY mechanic, but I don't have time and am moving to Oklahoma soon and would rather not take this with me if I don't have to, but if I do, I'll just fix it and keep it as a winter car for my wonderful girlfriend. I have NEVER gotten this car stuck once in snow, I drove through over a foot in the highest setting during that crazy 3' overnight dump a few years ago, and it was absolutely amazing, through unplowed driveways, poorly plowed streets, up plowtruck-created, rock-hard packed snowy hills, not once did it let me down in all the years I have owned it. I have also taken it (slowly and carefully, lol) down various light truck trails and dirt roads and with the air suspension it handles ruts and medium stones very well. Also, being German, it handles and drives wonderfully on the highway at 59 or 95. In my opinion, it's the Land Rover of cars, I'm sure you'll be happy with this vehicle, I've tried to be as open and honest as I can be in the description, and tried to disclose everything I know that is wrong with it, I just want to sell it, not make a profit or rip anyone off. If you're in New England, I have a good shipper I can reccomend if necessary Thanks for looking!
