2006 Audi S4 4 door coupe Description

Up for Sale is my 2006 S4 25Quattro (Anniversary Edition) with 47,800 miles.The car has been meticulously cared for throughout its life. The under carriage is clear of anything resembling rust and as you can see from the pics is in pristine condition inside and out. The couple of blemishes to note are a wear area on the drivers’ side leather and a small ding above the rear passenger wheel well, see pics. This is a special edition, unique car and it has been respected and cared for as such. The car still smells new. Another testament is that when the brake pads and rotors were replaced at 46k miles a couple of months ago I replaced the original pads/rotors which still had an estimated 10 to 12k miles left on them.
For those not familiar with this particular model/example of the S4 it was conceived by Audi in 2005 as a 25 year birthday gift to its American patrons in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Quattro. This car is number 174 of 250 that were produced. Audi is well known for its craftsmanship and that reputation was certainly enhanced or maybe even originally noted as reaction to the detail incorporated in this model. The leather was hand stitched and sewn over Recaro seats. “Quattro” is embossed into the seat backs. The Jet Gray two tone color, the interior carbon fiber appointments and rear and front spoilers, adapted dual exhausts, a DTM/Quattro GmbH Edition, 15 spoke Ronal wheels, Avus Silver exterior color, the gear shift knob, high gloss front grill, the Red tow hook are features either unique to this model or one offs borrowed from European models not available in the US or from an “R” model i.e. RS4 and RS6. In other words only these 250 25Quattro cars have the accumulation of all these features on one model. In my opinion, this particular model is a little masterpiece incorporating the best of Audi design under one roof. And there’s not a trim option, available in 2006, that wasn’t built into this car including an 10 speaker Bose Sound system, color Navigation system, sunroof, heated seats, electric controlled memory seats, 6 CD changer, programmable garage door openers, change tray etc.
And then there is the 4.2 liter V8, 340hp. If you’ve wished your middle name was- badass….drive this car! Check your rear view mirror as you drive by the admirers on the sidewalk and watch them mouth the words “badass” as they longingly wish they were in the passenger seat next to you! It’s a throaty; high-revving, naturally aspirated V8 that’s “widely regarded as one of the best soundtracks available mated to a 6-speed manual dual clutch transmission.” To quote Carter from German Cars for Sale blog “These S4s (2006) were really like a diet RS4, gaining suspension upgrades (from the A4s)… and a revised rear sport differential that really transformed the car’s handling. These S4s beginning with this Anniversary model received the same T3 Torsen setup as the RS4, now with a rearward power bias and capable of moving up to 100% of the power to the rear axle.” When you get down in this car you stay down…i.e. you feel as if you’ve been invited by the asphalt to be a part of the road. It is fabulously fun to drive! Tight, nose down, head back, hope to God the blue lights don’t come on behind you fun.
I’ve listed anything that I’ve added to car since buying it. All of the add-ons are included in the price including the new 19” VMR wheels, 19” Continental tires as well as the OEM 15 spoke 18” (road rash free) Ronals. The new wheels/tires have less than 3500 miles on them. The Audi red badge rubber floor mats are included as well as the original mats. I have an extra carbon fiber front spoiler that was mildly scratched by the transportation company when I had the car moved to Denver, included. The car had its 45k mile maintenance done approx. 300 miles ago at the same time I did the brakes, new rotors/pads. The OEM calipers were sandblasted and hand painted with G2 caliper paint. Powder coating these was the preferred treatment but frankly I ran out of time and settled for the G2 paint. It looks good now but it’ll probably need to be powder coated in a couple of years. All the manuals, service records, 2 sets of keys, S4 key ring are included.
I have been tracking these 25Quattro’s for 3 years and while there may be another one out there with less miles and in this condition, I haven’t seen it. And while this model doesn’t have an official classic car designation I believe that it has enough unique features, is a limited edition and features Audi’s own historical significance to date that it could be someday. It’s certainly collectible and worth preserving so that the next Audi enthusiast can share with other enthusiasts. Isn’t that the definition of or reason to collect anyway? My asking price is $20,400. If a buyer does not want the OEM Ronal wheels I can adjust the price accordingly. Thanks for looking.
