2001 Audi A4 -- Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully before asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Audi A4 2.8L Quattro with just 153k miles. I would rate the interior of this A4 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Melange Metallic, which is a somewhat uncommon color. The finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. There is some obvious visible damage to the front bumper cover. The only other thing I can point out about the exterior is a little faded spot on the bottom of the RF door. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this A4 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. Both front seats are heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors, seat and sunroof are clean and tight. The wood interior accents all show well and give the interior a warm feel. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It's too cold to tell if the air conditioner is working effectively. When I finally got around to road testing this Audi, I noticed that the heater was blowing out cold air. It is common with these cars for the blend doors to stick if you let them sit, which is what I'm guessing happened. I've driven this car on more than one occasion and haven't had any issues with the car's cooling system. I suspect the problem will work itself out once the car is put back into regular use...but I wanted to be sure to disclose it so I'm covered either way. The audio system sounds good, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Please take your time to check out each of the 70+ photos carefully. Mechanically, this A4 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not burn any oil through the exhaust. I will note that the valve covers probably leak, which is common for this engine. I haven't looked closely, but I can smell it. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps proper temperature and feels strong. I took these pictures a bit ago and wrote a description, and then eBay changed to a new listing tool for dealers and I had to re-do close to two dozen listings. I re-uploaded all of my pictures (as they were saved on an SD card) but I had to re-do everything else. I say all that to say this. The photos show the check engine and airbag lights on. When I drive this vehicle a 2nd time due to having to retype my listing, only the airbag light was on. I don't remember what the engine light was for. The only thing I noticed during my road test is that you can faintly hear a little wheel bearing noise...barely anything. I think it's coming from the rear. It's not even close to being at the point of needing replaced...just something to keep in mind for the future. The five speed tiptronic automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. This A4 2.8L has Quattro AWD. Quattro is a viscous AWD system that is purely mechanical. It is the most capable and reliable all wheel drive systems ever made. Quattro gives you SUV-like capabilities in snow, along with remarkable confidence in wet and slippery surfaces. It's also worth mentioning that dry environment cornering benefits from AWD, too. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
