This Audi S6 Avant is in generally great condition for a 14 years. The engine is solid and does not consume oil, has incredible power. Interior is in very good condition aside from ordinary wear. The black leather seat excellent, no seam splits or worn bolsters (high grade top skin leather) only a nicely aged pantene. The heated seats work on all 4. All power option work fine. The car comes with full maintenance records. Recent work includes, newer brakes, brake booster, CV joints and regular Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil Changes.The exhaust is in tact, however, it will eventually need a centre section. The transmission works, but there is an issue with shifting through gears 1-35. It will start off in 4th gear from a still stand and will drive fine, especially on the highway. Reverse gear is fine. A replacement transmission is $1300 to $1600 and I am tracking 2 on ebay at the moment. This is a very clean highly collectable S6 Avant complete w/leather owners manual, cargo net, 1st aid kit.
I originally purchased this car in New Hampshire 6 years ago. It was evident how well taken care ofthis S6 was for the first 8 years. Most of the miles are highway from the frequent commute fromNew Hampshire to Boston. The 2002 Audi S6 Avant has been the best car I have ever owned and driven. It's power combined with practical functionalitymakes it a great vehicle to own. It has been the lowest cost per mile vehicle I have ever owned, and with a bit of work completed as described on here, it will serve its new owner with many miles of fun, reliable transportation. The factory audi battery is only2 years and the car starts reliably every time!
