I have had this 1996 BMW convertible Z3 Roadster in my personal collection of cars since nov of 2011 when i bought it from a new car dealership I do business with where it was traded in on a new car. I used it occasionally throughout the years as a fun toy and some local parades etc. I just got back from a nice 250 mile trip with it and it has always been a very reliable car. I decided to sell it as i am not driving it as much as i should and it is time to let a new owner have fun with her. Mechanically, this BMW is very sound. I have had it serviced regularly by my mechanics who work for me at my car delaership teddys auto sales in waukon Iowa. It honestly has not needed much throughout the time I have had it besides minor general maintinence things. I recently did new brake pads and fluid changes etc. The 1.9 lt 4 cyl engine purrs and has a surprising amount of pep behind it. The 5 speed manual shifts all gears the way it should and it is a absolute blast. This BMW Z3 really hugs the road well. All of the power options are working as far as i can see and the radio works great although it is a aftermarket cd player. The wheels and tires are good and servicable with decent tred. It has a great history report and it has never had any accidents as far as I know of or can tell.Cosmetically this BMW has a great clean look. the silver metallic paint looks very nice. There was no rust i can see and the body is very clean overall. I saw some very minor little nicks etc but nothing overly noticable. the front lower valance has a small crack.The paint has a nice shine to it and the interior looks very nice. The leather is in good shape as pictured and has a comfortable feel.I pictured and vidoed it well to show how nice it is for being 20 years old. The underside looks good with only normal minimal road wear. The top looks great in my opinion and didnt leak when on the off occasion i got stuck in a rain. I ordered a new boot for it and it fits great like it should. The trunk looks very clean as well. I really do not want to overcall it or undercall it, let the pics, video and description tell the story. As everyone has their own opinion of what a used car should be, I recommend hiring ebay to do a independant inspection for you or come and see it at my dealership Teddys auto sales in waukon iowa in person by appointment.
