1983 BMW 533i Bronzit, original owner, 119,986 miles, runs well
1983 BMW 5-Series Description
I picked this car up on the European Delivery Plan in 1983. The car drives well. The wheels were replaced because tires for the original rims required TRX type tires that are no longer readily available. All of the windows, skylight, and door locks work correctly. There are no rips or tears in the leather seats. The carpet protectors are original. The car has passed California smog tests recently and in the past 33 years as well. The engine and transmission/clutch are original and have never had any problems. The car has never been in an accident so the body is very good shape. This car was the fastest production car available in 1983 and handles precisely. I have loaned out the car to my brother and one relative over the years but the car drives just as well now as when I purchased the car-a testament to the way BMW built cars in the past.
There are several small dents in the car, probably due to shopping centers. You will probably not notice them in the pictures. The paint is the only real issue with the car. The hood, roof, and rear deck lid all have paint that is deteriorating.
I have accumulated too many cars st this point, so I have decided to let this one go.
Los Altos is between San Francisco and San Jose CA.
