1970 BMW 2002 Description

I purchased this car a few years ago intending to do a tasteful resto-mod. It is a 2002 1970 coupe slick-top 4 speed manual with AC in Atlantic Blue. Priorities shift in life so I'm letting this one go. I stripped the car down to do the bodywork and paint and it remains in this condition. All of the brightwork is included and in fairly good shape. A few pieces have dents/dings so may need replacement. Car is about 99% there. A few pieces I tossed because they weren't salvageable but those parts are easily replaced.Otherwise car is original. Car has significant rust but is certainly not a lost cause. The structural components for the most part have integrity; the frame rail under the drivers footwell will need repair, it has a rust-hole in it. The drivers floor near the pedal box will need replacement/repair, as will the rear passenger floor. There are various other rust spots, please see the pics. I have punched out/ cut out most of the weak metal, that is why you see holes. I did not get around to grinding the edges yet for patches to be welded in. Motor, drivetrain, and exhaust are intact. I pulled the gas tank to clean it so fuel system is not connected but all parts are included. I have never run the motor but it does turn over. It has the Weber 32/36 carb. It has original AC (Frigiking) which I left intact. This is a rare automobile and while it is a significant project, it is a worthy endeavor. I have it priced commensurate to what it is. You could piece this back together, slap some bondo on it, and drive it or you could go the route I was going to and do the body right and make something very nice. I have included a ton of pictures, there is no mystery with this one. A blank canvas. I am disappointed I will not get to finish it...My loss is your gain.
