1996 BMW 328i Convertible Only 71k Miles! Sport Package, 2 Owner Florida Car E36
1996 BMW 3-Series Description
Up for auction today is a very nice and low mile 328i convertible with sport package. I purchased the car from a local auction. It was traded by the second owner which owned the car for the last 17 years. The Carfax is clean and shows some decent service history. The miles are accurate at 71,247 and have not been altered in any way. In the next couple paragraphs I'll do my best to touch on all aspects of the car but please do not hesitate to message or call me with any questions. Thanks! Cliff 321-436-9523
Mechanically- The car is sound. It starts up every time. There's no funny noises, sounds, shakes or vibrations. The car goes down the road nice and strait and everything works as it should. The transmission shifts nice and crisp with out any issues. As mentioned above there's a few small things that need attention. The coolant level sensor needs to be replaced, The drivers seat is not reclining forward. There's a plastic gear that wears out not allowing the seat to adjust. This is a pretty easy repair. I've done one of the gears on an E36 M3 before and I may even have it fixed on this one before it ships out but I can't make any promises. The power antenna mast is broken off but the antenna assembly itself is in the trunk. The FM stations tune in just fine. The convertible top seems to work good. Out of the 10 times I've opened the top 2 times it hung up and needed a little extra push. This took little effort and I didn't have to leave the driver seat to do it. All the lights and indicators work. All the power windows go up and down. The A/C is ice cold and the heat works. The heated seats work. The brakes work as they should and look to have plenty of life left. The tires are Toyos with life left. The left rear is a Michelin. There's no spare tire in the trunk.
Exterior- The exterior is in amazing condition. At first glance you would think the car was repainted but it in fact has all of the original paint on it. There's no doubt in my mind that this car was garage kept. All the rubber and moldings are in great shape with no signs of cracking. The windshield is original with no chips. The convertible top is free of any snags, rips or holes. The rear plastic/glass has some discoloration but is too be expected for an original top. There's no big dings or scratches on the exterior. (see pics) The car is perfectly smooth and strait down both sides. The wheels are free of curb marks, road rash or corrosion. All the lights are nice and clear. The car shows even better in person. It's truly a strait and beautiful car. All the VIN stickers are intact indication no previous panel replacement.
Interior- It has the typical de-laminating happening on the front door panels. The headliner is good. All of the pixels illuminate in the gauge cluster and the on board computer. (rare). There's a small rip on the drivers seat bolster but otherwise the interior is very clean. The car is a non smoker and believe it or not smells like a BMW still. I just picked up a brand new set of factory floor mats that go with the car. Underneath the mats, the carpet is free of stains or rips.
I'm a true BMW lover and I feel this car is a tremendous value. With a little bit of time ans patience you could have a 100% perfect car. In the meantime get in and drive it anywhere.
I will ship this car within the US at the buyers expense. Please message or call me for a quote. Thanks! Cliff 321-436-9523
