Well preserved 1998 BMW E36 M3 sedan

Arctic Silver exterior over Dove Gray leather interior. Automatic transmission. Unaltered, unadulterated and unmolested, this M3 may prove to be one of the finest examples in existence. The only indication that this car has traveled 172k miles is that fact that it is displayed on the odometer; otherwise it truly looks, drives and feels more like a sub-50k mile car!

This M3 is well appointed with features including a sunroof, cruise control, Harmon-Kardon Hi Fi stereo with Weatherband, front & side airbags, traction control, Sport, economy and manual transmission modes, an on-board computer and pre-wiring for phone and CD changer in the trunk. It also has the optional heated front seats and heated mirrors.

Some may find it difficult to appreciate an automatic transmission in an M car… until you actually drive one! When I acquired this car, I figured the automatic would be less than inspiring and I would immediately want to swap it for a manual. After all, what enthusiast wouldn’t love to row the gears? To my surprise, the automatic works quite well and does not hurt the performance nature of the car, plus the car is so nice that I really didn’t have the heart to alter it.

If you MUST have a manual,This carwould be a great candidate for a swap.

As a lifelong BMW aficionado and BMW CCA member, I searched for nearly a year to find the perfect M3 sedan. This one was all original, free of accidents, paintwork or mechanical inclusions. Having been enthusiast owned all its life, this M3 has received excellent care as evident by the stack of records that accompany the car. Since acquiring the car, I have done my best to further improve it along the way. It has been maintained by a local BMW independent mechanic, who is a personal friend and fellow BMW enthusiast himself. I have no tolerance for mechanical things that do not work as intended, so this M3 has been treated to mechanical & cosmetic care with an open wallet. All replacement parts have been genuine OEM BMW parts.

All typical E36 failure points have been addressed and improved. The body is straight and free of inclusions or rust. No known accidents. Minor wear and tear commensurate with age and mileage. All body VIN stickers are in place (doors/trunk/hood). The interior is also super clean; no rips or tears and everything looks very nice. The bolster is beginning to show a little wear on the driver’s side, but it has not worn through. All door panels are in excellent condition. The DSII wheels are shiny new (how many M3s have wheels that are absolutely flawless?) and sporting a new set Michelin Pilot Sports. The OEM brake rotors and pads are brand new. The shocks and shock mounts are new. The AC system is new. New cooling system including hoses, radiator, water pump, thermostat. New belts/tensioners, O2 sensors, fuel pump, and all fluids have been replaced. This car is completely dry underneath and does not leak anything. Itneedsnothing.

This M3 has also enjoyed the benefits of living in the South its entire life, so it hasn't been subjected to salted roads or extreme weather conditions. When it wasn’t being enjoyed on the road, it was either tucked away inside a garage or inside a covered parking deck. This would explain the immaculate condition of the original paint, undercarriage, rubber and trim pieces.

Look at all the other M3 sedans that are available, then compare and drive mine. If you want as close to perfect as possible, I assure you, this M3 is the one to buy!
