Condition notes: Overall, this vehicle is in 9 of 10 condition. It was very well maintained, with service records to prove. The interior is in immaculate condition including leather- no tears, cracks and they are HEATED! (Not an option w/ sport model, these were professionally installed and heat up fast.) No dead pixels on original BMW screens. Exterior and original paint also in amazing condition. The only panel with notable damage is hood, which contains less than normal amount of pitting from the years on the road. Only 1 wheel has (very) light curb rash. There is no rust on body. Undercarriage is also immaculate w/ no rust. This car runs and drives perfect. The engine pulls strong and is very quiet. Maintained chassis / suspension provide ride equivalent to new vehicle.
Repair notes: This X5 has been meticulously maintained, serviced at BMW of Bridgeport. Last three years of repairs have included both front axels due to failing CV boots (rear boots in good condition), battery, alternator belt, driver and passenger lower control arm bushings, intake boot and front passenger caliper, in addition to front brakes.
*Warranty notes:Estate coverage thru 87K miles or 2/26/2017. Coverage includes engine group, transmission, trans-axle and transfer case, drive axle group, seals and gaskets, power steering group, electrical, rental car, Air Conditioning, Brake, Suspension, cooling, gaskets, towing, flat tire change, emergency fuel delivery service, battery jump service, key lock out service. Contract is serviced by very reputable AUL Administrators. I've never had an issue using this warranty ($100 deductible) at any repair shop.
Upgrade notes:Heated seats were professionally installed in 2015. They provide plenty of heat on colder days, and were not an option for this 6 speed sport model. Pedals and shifter have been upgraded to aluminum, nicely complementing titanium wrapped interior. Sale includes installed 18" BMW OEM sport wheels and 17" BMW X5 tires w/ Toyo winter tires used only one season w/ impressive results. Lighting elements for OEM "angel eyes" has been upgraded to LED to provide more pure white, substantially brighter running lights. This vehicle is equipped with a short shift kit manufactured by UUC motorworks. This product had a short run due to limited owners of this rare transmission; you will not find another! An AFE intake kit is installed (OEM airbox included; I can have reinstalled at request.) This kit has paid for itself between fuel savings and lifetime (washable) filter. A new navigation system was added to this car in 2016 to prep for sale....
Navigation notes: This vehicle has a Yunio Android based navigation system installed. It includes rear view camera (auto engages in reverse) and integrates with steering wheel controls. It includes offline 3D voice assisted navigation. The bluetooth is hands down one of the more functional hands free systems, even compared to newer vehicles. A quad core CPU and 1G RAM allows you to install just about anything from Android marketplace including your own navigation, games, movies etc. A USB dongle is within ashtray, allowing you to queue up 32GB of media at a time. It will play about any video format in HD, as well as DVDs. This unit matches the form and function of interior and looks 100% OEM, right down to the color temperate of buttons. Additional options include OBD integration, rear headrest monitors, external amplifier and subwoofer. Note these are options are are not included with integration. This stereo displays BMW logo at startup which takes less than 10 seconds. Despite startup, rear camera will function immediately when reverse engaged. It provides guidance lines, supplementing the OEM park assist sensors / audibles.
Price and Purchase: This vehicle is priced based on comps. There was a recent 03 on eBay which sold for $12K. It had over 20K more miles, no warranty, no navigation or heated seats, lesser quality aftermarket wheels and more cosmetic damage. I am starting w/ price set to 14K. As I evaluate interest, I will adjust accordingly but price is firm for first 2 weeks. This car is sold as-is and available for locally in New York City region, Fairfield County. Please be advised I am awaiting title for this car. Final payment was sent Tuesday 4/19 and I should have title within 1 week. I am guaranteed this title within next 2 weeks.
