This is my 1988 (4/87 production, car #344) M3. I've owned the car for about the last 17 years. I purchased the car with ~112K miles. It is a Tennessee car. I love this car but I really never drive the car and it’s been spending most of it’s time in my garage. As we are going to be building a new house in the next year, it’s time for it to find a new loving home.
The car was originally sold by Rick Hill Imports in Kingsport, TN and has spent it’s life in East Tennessee from what I can tell.
Please see below for some of the upgrades that I have done to the car and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions. I will answer the best that I can. This car is not a ‘bubble car’ but it is in very good condition.
It does have all of the original body panels and the only “unfortunate incident” that the car has had while I have owned it involved a raccoon on the interstate which required the replacement of the front bumper cover. I purchased the EVO3 spoiler pre-finished and it doesn’t match great, but you can certainly have it painted to an exact match.
The rear quarter panels were painted about 10-12 years ago as there was some wear at the bottom of the pop-out windows that I had fixed before they became a rust issue.
I do have some spare parts and brand new rear wheel bearings and associated parts. It does not need them right now, but I was going to do them as preventative maintenance.
