2004 BMW 7-Series Description

For sale is my 2004 BMW 745Li E66. I purchased this car about a month ago as a bank repo. I bought it to make it my daily driver but it has a few issues so I’m going to pass and sell it instead. I bought it with a dead battery and no key not knowing anything about the car other than the Carfax I ran on it. I had it towed to my business and had a key made for it, charged the battery up and everything appeared to work fine, the engine tried to start but it does not sound good. I removed the oil pan and sure enough there was plastic timing chain guides and metal shavings. This is a fairly loaded 7 series for 2004. The car ran long enough to show that the odometer has 176000 miles. I would put a new timing chain in but do not have the 40 plus hours of free time to work on it. If it does not sell I will go ahead with the repair and keep it. I own a new 750i and these cars are expensive to own, but they have one of the best driving experiences on the road, someone with more knowledge of this generation 7 series can get a great car for 1/3rd the price. It has a sideswipe on the passenger side on the rear door, a few dents on both doors on the driver, and the front bumper is pretty rough. I would rate the exterior a 5/10 and the interior a 7/10. I’m not a mechanic, just a car enthusiast, so please come inspect the car for yourself before you buy. You are more than welcome to put the car on my lift and take a look, it is very clean underneath! Clear Ohio title in hand, it will have a TMU marking as the auction company did not know the mileage on the vehicle when it was sold.
