2000 BMW 323Ci 171,XXX miles, Runs Well, Great Interior
2000 BMW 3-Series Description
I'm looking to sell my 2000 BMW 323ci (171,xxx)
Clean history, and strong engine. Exterior in 6/10 condition, has premium wheels which are in decent condition, not perfect. Tires and brakes were done in January 2016 by previous owner. No oil leaks in engine, and manual transmission shifts through all the gears. Has original BMW head unit display, and GPS still works (i've used it recently just to see if it did). I've replaced the rather ugly interior wood trim panels with carbon fiber vinyl wrapped ones, swapped the shift knob with a zhp leather one, and cleaned the car meticulously so the interior i'd rate 8/10. Headliner doesn't sag, is clean, no rips in heated leather sport option seats, only minor thread loosening on driver's left upper bolster (seen in pics). Replaced the original chrome and black kidney grille with an AutoTecknic matte black OEM spec grille for a more modern look.
Issues:-when shifting, most of the time, you can hear a dull 'boom' sound which sounds like it's coming from somewhere near the differential or under the rear seats. It doesn't affect shift smoothness or driving, but the sound is there. all the shifts are smooth, only the 4th to 5th gear shift sometimes feels a bit rough, but it still always locks in and never pops out.-about a 5-inch rust spot on bottom of driver side door (see pics) but aside from that, it's free of rust-about a 3-inch ding in passenger side rear fender (see pics)-rear speakers under passenger deck rattle at higher volumes, i've checked and as expected, the speaker membrane has deteriorated. is an easy fix if you pop some new speakers in (I'm also selling a polk audio and boston G3 subwoofer sound system in another listing, $375 takes it, that came out of my previous 330ci)-rear driver side window does not slide out to open
Aside from the mentioned issues, it really does drive well, with nothing distracting going on, no dash lights whatsoever, oil was changed by previous owner, now about 800 miles ago, and the engine is extremely quiet, especially from the interior where you hardly hear anything even up to 4-5k rpm.I'm asking $3000 but am open to reasonable offers, so feel free to contact me with any questions or to setup a time to check out the car, my availability is open because am currently between jobs. Thanks for looking, and check out that sound system if you're interested in upgrading;)
