2004 BMW M3 Base Convertible
2004 BMW M3 Description
I am the second owner of this amazing car that spent most of its life in Palm Beach County, FL and Jacksonville, FL. It has always been adult owned and driven and properly maintained and retains its original, stock configuration (with the exception of the JL Audio amp and compact subwoofer added in the truck along with an iPod connector for charging and control through the steering wheel controls of the factory head unit. It has a great 6-speed manual transmission with a brand new, lighted leather M shifter just like the original one it replaced and 4 new OEM M floor mats. It has a brand new console, cup holders, and rear storage compartment installed as well. The vehicle comes with 19 inch forged allows (with no curb rash) and the real aluminum trim on the interior. Also included is the BMW spare tire and jack option with electric air pump. I am a non-smoker and so was the previous owner. Therefore, the car just has a great BMW smell to it.
In the last year, I have replaced the clutch master cylinder, battery, alternator, a new M front left brake caliper, put the super expensive, upgraded rear differential fluid, new brake fluid, and a central locking switch, and of course oil changes (I used the BMW brand synthetic for M cars and the latest was done just a week ago). The Continental Extreme tires are only a year old and still look nearly new (the right rear is only a week old actually). I also have the original rear wind deflector which is expensive and hard to find with these cars. I basically have had 90% of the car painted with PPG paint in the original Black Sapphire Metallic with a lifetime warranty at Brumos Porsche collision center in Jacksonville. The car looks black until light hits it at a certain angle then a beautiful deep, metallic blue shows through. The staff there gave it a beautiful paint job and a no orange peel, mirror-like, show car finish. That was some serious $$$$. It is much nicer than any new BMW coming off the lot. I did this because I was planning to keep this car forever, but family matters dictate the need for a larger car. Cosmetically the car is gorgeous and the drivetrain is a work of art.
Now for the bad: a 1/2 inch section of stitching is undone on the seat bolster. It can be easily repaired, but it has been one of those "I'll get to it next" kind of things. It was there when I bought the car and is not worsening at all. Since I have sorted out basically everything else, this is probably the last issue. Otherwise, I don't think there is anything else to disclose.
