1992 BMW 318is E36 Blue Coupe 2-Door Manual 5-Speed 4Cylinder
1992 BMW 3-Series 318is Coupe Description
READ ALL OF THIS SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION
Up for auction is my 1992 BMW 318is. I'm going to regret this so I have a reserve price set.
I do not have to sell it, I'm not hurting for money so please don't wait until the auction is up and make any lower offers. The ONLY reason I am selling it is because I am currently building some older Jeeps, specifically a 1969 CJ5 with the Dauntless V6 and a 1976 CJ7. I need room to store them and work on them so I'm sacrificing my BMW.
If it does not sell for at least my reserve price then I will simply store it and forget about it.
It is what it is and here are the details:
First and most importantly: THIS CAR RUNS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, SHIFTS PERFECT, CLUTCH IS PERFECT, DRIVES PERFECT AND STOPS PERFECT.
I have never had any issues with it, it has never seen winter, snow or salt.
It has no rust except typical surface rust over the years on the chassis, nothing rotted or starting to rot. All nuts and bolts come off without a hassle.
It does not leak any fluids.
Exhaust is quiet and has no leaks.
No Check Engine" light on. Although if you really hammer it going up steep hills it sometimes pops on briefly and goes away immediately. I suspect the intake boot has an air leak somewhere. $20 or so on Ebay
I am the second owner so it has not changed hands a thousand times and been beaten or modified.
No accidents.
Those things alone make the car well worth the price I want for it.
But wait....there's more:
175,309 very well cared for miles
All oil changes with Synthetic
Interior is a 8 out of 10. Blemish on passenger seat. See pic.
Tires are Pirellis 16" all new. Rims are off an X3 BMW SUV
Coilover No-Name brand adjustable suspension. $450 value and they all are new.
Handles incredibly well.
Everything electrical works as it should EXCEPT the sunroof needs a switch. It works fine but I broke the switch when I first got the car.
I am also including 2 extra sets of wheels and tires. That means 8 wheels and 8 tires, all in good condition.
Also, extra miscellaneous parts like new front marker lights, headlight assemblies, other stuff.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
Replace the power steering rack or just replace the leaking line, your choice. I drive it as it is with no power steering and I have no problem.
Most people will bitch and moan if they have to put in a little effort so there it is, letting everyone know up front.
They are not expensive at all to replace $250 +/- on Ebay
Air conditioning system will need to be charged, it works fine but I never used it here in NY state. As you may know, it doesn't get all that hot here in the upstate area.
See pics for light scratches on front drivers side bumper. There when I bought the car.
See pics for tiny dent on top of drivers side front fender. Also there when I bough the car.
It will need paint at some point if you are picky. There are two weird really small light swirl marks on the hood. You can't see them unless you are right on top of them. Hood has typical paint dings and chips from 24 years on the road.
Window trim black strips will need to be replaced at some point and other cosmetic things here and there if you are super picky.
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE VEHICLE, COORDINATING EVERYTHING RELATED TO SHIPPING. THERE IS NO SHIPPING AVAILABLE FROM ME. PICK UP ONLY.
