2001 BMW 3-Series CI Description

The Good: We have owned this one for almost three years driving almost 24000 miles on the vehicle and it hasn't given us one bump. She's been on road trips to the beach, the mountains and as far as taking on the next trip I would not hesitate.
It was a "water damaged" vehicle that I was able to inspect prior to repairs. The only signs of damage were limited to below the seats and after repairs completed there have been no sign of musty odors or subsequent damage. None of the electrics have given us a problem and we drive it as an everyday driver or as my wife explained, "it's just a car".
The convertible top is in beautiful condition and works without issues so, I guess keeping the hardtop on during the winter really does make a difference. Just installed a set of Goodyears about 300 miles ago and the oil change is fresh. The pic of the speedometer also displays average of 28 MPG so it is a bit of a gas saver.
Downside: there are a couple of stone chips on the front edge of the hood that cracked the clear coat (quarter size), had a couple of door opening dents on the passenger side but, for a fifteen year old car that's a positive, the batteries in the keys (both) are dead but I have heard with some electronicaptitude (not me for sure) they can be replaced, valve cover seepage and a scuff on the bottom of the left rocker.
The mileage will change a little as we're still driving the vehicle.
Word to the wise, if you've got bad knees you probably shouldn't bid on this one.
