2003 BMW M3 E46 Description

This has been my M3 for the last 5 years, and has been the best car I have ever owned. I really want to keep it but with the new ///M on the way, I have no place to keep it, and the Boss says it must go :( . Other M3's with even less miles, I'm sure, probably was not loved or cared for as much as this one was, and it would probably show sitting next to it, because itsgaraged and never been tracked. Everything works like it should from cruise control, A/C blasts cold, heat works great, sun roof tilts/opens and closes like it should, rear side windows are coded to open and close on one touch. also coded for open and shut windows on the key fob. I drove this M3nearly every day (except during snowywinter days) because it is such a joy to do so. There are no dings or dents anywhere but there are some driving nicks and sings of highway driving on the front bumper as that is where the chunk of my driving takes place. No SES light or fault codes on the dash. Passes smog yearly here without problems. This is a great running, and very clean M3 and its ready to drive more miles for years to come. I have many receipts and records ofmaintenanceperformed over the years in a folder that I'll hand over to the new owner.
The mods/maintenance onthe M3: where done to keep it in tip toprunning shape or just to keep it looking good.
I just replaced lastweek, all newgenuine BMW emblems front, rear and center wheel caps, engine cover emblem. I just purchased new factoryreplacementspark plugs buthaven't installed them yet as I just received them in the mail. Optima Red top battery, Alternator, water pump, both belts, both coolant sensors, Power pulleys from Turner, The Vanos from the S54 is prone to tab failure that can resultcatastrophic engine failure, if left neglected, so I decided to address it with the Beisan oil pump disk, new seals and rattle kit, new Vanos filter. This made me sleep better at night knowing I didn't have to worry about it. As an ///Menthusiast I'm telling you, do your self a favor, this is one of the first mods or fixes you should do(if it hasn't been addressed) to whatever M3 you decide on, if you do not go with this gem here.
Just recently replaced the tires a couple of months ago, so they have fresh tread with New Micheline AS3+ 245/35/19F 275/30/19RThe wheels have no curb rash and areextremely rare and Very expensive for a set and you will probably never come across them again as they stopped making them years ago. Everyone alwayscomments that they love them. They are Alloy Technic, style B9. Alloy Technic Meshwheelsare specific to the BMW marque. They are 10000 ton Rotary Forged using 6000 series Alloy and strengthened with T6 treatment.FRONT: 19x8.5 : 18.5 lbs. REAR: 19X9.5 : 19.9LBS. These are super light compared to the 25lbs stockers, and then I got a few more lbs of weight savings in the brakes too. Just this tire and wheel package, along with the brembo brake setup on all four corners, costnearly what some of the higher mileage M3's are selling for.
The brakes were not a cheap upgrade at all. It was very expensive, so I pieced them together over several months. They still look new without any lip on the rotor so you will not be looking at brakes for a long time. The brakes are all new, with new front and rear ZCPcompetitionrotors, F/R 911 Brembo calipers that were freshly rebuilt and powder coated, all new brembo hardware, Rally road front brackets,Polar rear brackets. Rally road stainless brake lines, akebonoceramicpads. Torque RT700 brake fluid. AKG clutch/brake pedal bushings, and Rogue engineeringstainless clutch line. I upgraded fromstock to go to a solid Brembo caliperinstead of the stock sliding one. The brembos not only look great but are also easy to swap pads on. They just look so good behind the wheel. I also have high quality Macht Schnell spacers front 5mm and rear 10mm
The suspension is Status Gruppe Tuning SS kit withupgraded Swift springs. The SGTcoilovers ride great, especially for a daily driver on the road. The M3 is a little low right now for some but I think it looks good but this could beeasily raised for an even better ride as it is adjustable. If the purchaser wants it raised I can raise it to whateverheightand get a fresh alignment done before sending it off as I have a three year unlimited alignment access plan. Also while installing the suspension I decided to replace the top hat bearings justbecause. The SS kit from SGT came with adjustable end links and rear shock mounts, Dinan front sway bar, AKGPolyurethane 95Afront control arm bushings and 90A rear control arm bushings. rear AKGPolyurethane 95Adiff bushing and updated diff bolts. while under there thecenter support bearing andguibo were both replaced along withdeleting the CDV and replaced the fuel filter, and flushed the diff fluid at the same time.
The outside of the M3 I wanted to keep it mostly stock looking but with a few add ons to make it somewhat stock + It has a one piece CSL Status Gruppe Tuning lip, rare AGT side extensions and CSL replica diffuser. OEM black kidneys and side grills. Status Gruppe Tuning Scorza exhaust system that sounds amazing. I really wanted to put headers and euro cats on it to increase the soundpleasure of when I drive but I always opted to do more maintenance instead. so this will always bug me that I never completed it. The outside of the car has no color as it is all done in silver, black and white theme even the side grill ///M emblems are black and white. So to keep that theme, I had to get rid of the redtaillights and I went full smoked eagle eye LED tails. Also while looking at other M3's look at the window seals andmoldings as they areusually dry rotted and leak. Mine are in great shape and look new, no cracks. Also fixed the window regulator rattle on both doors so you don't have to worry about that while driving with the windows down listening to it rattle. Like I said earlier, this is the best car I have ever owned andarguably the best ///M car BMW has ever produced. The styling, the S54 above 4K RPM to 7500 is an amazingly intoxicating sound. It has been astruggle with reality and will be very sad to see it go, but I'm commuting much further now with mydaughter in the car everyday soI'm moving on to a different ///M.You will not find another M3 in this condition, that is well maintained and cared for at this price point.don't let this one slip away. I will have the M3 listed locally as well on other sites, so I have the right to end short if the cars sells before the time ends here.
