A: Car manufactures will buy cars back from their respective owners, if they take the car into the dealership more than 3x for the same issue. Certain states have very strict lemon laws causing cars to be bought back.

Q: Why is this car a Manufacture buy back?

A: In 07' @ 19,000 miles, the prior owner took the car into the BMW service department for the same issue more than 3x times a faulty coolant temperature sensor, BMW NA bought the car back, and repaired the fault. The issue has not reoccured since being fixed and the car drives great.
