2004 BMW X5 4.4i Sport Utility 4-Door Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 BMW X5 with the desirable 4.4L V8 engine. I would rate the exterior of this X5 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a gorgeous truck. It is finished in silver with black trim and dark tinted windows over black leather interior. The silver finish is about as close to perfect as you could expect for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The paint shines beautifully from front to back and there are no noteworthy flaws or blemishes to disclose. All of the trim and cladding are intact and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The later X5's of this generation wear a much needed facelift, with more dramatic body lines, which really gives this truck an aggressive look. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of matching Michelin's with good tread all around. All of the parking sensors are intact and working as they should. Pride in ownership shows throughout this X5. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this BMW looks.

I would rate the interior of this X5 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. As you open the doors, you are greeted by a graciously appointed (and very well optioned) interior. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. Both front seats are power operated and all four seats are heated. The leather seats show virtually no wear and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is the optional factory widescreen display with integrated onboard computer and GPS Navigation. As wtih many older units, there are a few dead spots on the display but everything works as it should and is easy to operate. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too. This X5 has the Panoramic Sunroof, which really makes the truck. It has a power, retracting shade that can be operated from the front or rear of the vehicle to keep you out of the sun when you want to be in the shade. Both front and rear panels tilt up for ventilation. With the touch of a button, the entire glass portion slides back into the roof to leave an opening that can be enjoyed by all passengers. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

Mechanically, this X5 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. Aside from a seeping hose (probably just a worn out clamp) from the power steering fluid reservoir, I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. I've personally put the last 200 miles on this truck and she is a blast to drive. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and there have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes good power and gives this SUV sports car-like performance. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and smoothly without a single complaint. My only gripe with this truck would be a slight vibration that is only evident on hard accelleration. I'm not a mechanic but I would suspect that one of the rubber mount bushings has worn over time and is allowing things to rub, causing the vibration. Again, I'm not a mechanic but that would fit the symptom perfectly so that's my best guess. During normal driving, you'll never notice it. If you're looking for a very well optioned luxury SUV, this X5 deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
