1972 BMW 2002 tii Description

This is an exceptionally low mileage 1972 BMW 2002tii in original condition. The car was manufactured in August, 1971 and is the 43rd 1972 2002tii built for the United States market. It comes with the original owner’s manual and the March 28, 1972 new car bill of sale. The bill of sale lists original equipment, including tinted glass, heatable rear window, sun roof, mag wheels, rear sport muffler; fog l road l rubber floor mats, locking gas cap, trunk mat, front and rear bumper rails, fm/am radio, and wood gear shift knob. The car has front and rear stabilizer bars.

Agava green is the original paint color. The paint is generally in good condition, with few scratches. There are signs of color fading on the trunk. The interior has the original tan vinyl upholstery, which has no signs of wear. There is no visible rust and no dents on the exterior.

The car has always been garaged in New Jersey and has had two owners. It was purchased by the current owner in 1998 from the estate of the initial owner. At that time, there were 42,750 original miles on the odometer. Since 1998, the car has been driven only locally in good weather. It currently has 44,481 original miles on the odometer.

The car has been serviced by the same knowledgable mechanic since 1998. The car has not been driven since the summer of 2015 and is currently sitting covered in the garage. It starts and runs. There are no known mechanical problems with the exception of the breaks, which pull to the right in the front when engaged.
