The car is stock with exception of a Dinan Stage 1 Software upgrade (D900-5M) installed in 2012 at 32k miles by EAG. The "Dinan Engine Software safely raises the rev-limit by 270 rpm, endowing your M5 with a broader power band and greater road speed in each gear. The software also removes the top speed governor, enabling the cars to attain their ”natural” top speed which according to BMW is ~ 186 mph. The software also speeds up throttle response in the ”standard” mode and improves throttle modulation in the ”sport” mode."
