You are viewing my 2002 BMW 540i with a factory Sport M suspension package and rare 6 speed manual shift transmission. I am the second owner. The car has never been in an accident and has all original paint.

This car is truly for the BMW collector enthusiast. The E39 body cars are touted as the best cars BMW ever built. One drive behind the wheel of this V8 powered5 Series and you quickly become a believer. I have owned many BMW’s before, this is my favorite. I just purchased a new Z4, this is the reason for this reluctant sale.

The new owner of this car will not be disappointed. This is a genuine honest solid driver’s car. It is getting increasing more difficult to find the E39 cars in decent condition. This car is an adult owned, never modified, wrecked or raced sample. Read on for a more detailed description of the overall condition of the car.

The car is in bone stock original condition. It has never been involved in any sort of accident. There is no rust through on any part of the chassis or sheet metal structure, all the body panels are exceptionally straight and are in perfect alignment. There are a few blemishes from daily use such as parking dings, scrapes, and a few small areas of paint oxidation.

The interior is in fantastic condition. There are no rips, open seams or tears on the leather sport comfort seats front and rear. The carpet is in excellent condition with the exception of the piece on the rear speaker deck that has sun faded. All gauges, dash and radio pixels are in perfect working condition. The AC system is fully charged and blows ice cold air. Even the rear electric sun shade works.

The engine starts right up with no smoke or oil consumption. It idles smoothly, with no unusual noises, nearly silent while driving. The car runs and drives exceptional well. The 6 speed transmission engages smoothly and quietly in all gears. Suspension and steering are rock solid.

All major maintenance is up to date. Recent oem Bosch starter and alternator replacement. New hoses, belts, coolant flush and Mobile 1 oil change. New vented rotors and ceramic pad brake upgrade. New V-rated performance tires on all 4 corners just a few weeks ago.
