1996 BMW 3-Series California Package Description

This 1996 318ti is the rare California Edition which included a full length Webasto type folding roof and it works perfect with no leaks or wind noise. .The car has a very low 125,034 miles and runs perfectly, shifts good and is a great car to drive. The car is solid and just glides down the road and gets a little over 30 mpg. The air conditioner works great, the power windows work like new, it could use new shocks that hold the rear hatch up. The car has good Michelin tires with 80 percent of the tread left. The paint has some scratches and clear peeling and some dings. The interior is excellent no rips or tears, the dash is nice, it has an alpine stereo that works well. Here is a little information I found on the 1996 California edition 318ti:The California Edition was most famous for its large, power-folding cloth sunroof; it also came with15 x 7-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, body-color bumpers and ground effects, leather-wrapped shift knob and handbrake. It’s believed that fewer than 300 of these Exclusive Edition cars were built. The California roof remained an option after 1996, but 1996 was the only year of the California Edition package. The cars has very low mileage and drives like it, mechanically excellent with some paint defects, but a great car with hard to find features. Would make a great first car for a young driver, fun, but safe. I can store it for a while free if someone is coming to California and wants to drive it home, it is suitable for a long drive.
