This rare and special product of BMW's Individual and Motorsport subsidiaries is the only completely hand built BMW of the modern era, and quite probably the last such model. An aluminum chassis and body rendered in a tasteful modern interpretation of the incomparable BMW 507, the Z8 is a sophisticated addition to any collection.
Over the last two years, the values of these roadsters has seen a meteoric rise due to their dignified looks, distinguished heritage and relative scarcity in properly good condition. For the 2002 model year, only 524 examples were produced for the US market, and in the entire product run, a grand total of 5703 would be made for the entire world. Outperforming the period benchmark Ferrari 360 Modena in key areas such as acceleration, handling and braking, this was one surprising package.
This example features a completely spotless history and having covered just over 15K miles presents a suitably good prospect as a collectible, or one that can be enjoyed and driven. It has been fully serviced by BMW dealerships and marque specialists and inspected intensively to ensure there are no issues. All accessories that were originally supplied with the car are included along with the hard top, hard top rack, convertible top cover, all the original keys and books, and it has recently fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that replaced the originals.
Originally delivered in Connecticut and having spent it's life up to last year with the first owner, this car has properly good provenance. Being a USA market vehicle, importing this example back to it's country of delivery is an easy proposition, although at the moment the car resides in Vancouver, BC Canada.
