2006 BMW M5 - New Engine 14k Miles Ago
2006 BMW M5 Description
I am regretfully selling my pristine 2006 BMW M5 because I am moving from Atlanta to London for work.
The car currently has 81k miles, but had the entire engine replaced at 67k miles due to engine failure (major concern with the E60 M5s). The clutch was replaced at 62k and I have receipts that document the extensive work all done by Hendrick BMW in Charlotte.
The car's history has been thoroughly documented on VinWiki (message me for link since eBay will not let me include) so you can see what repairs were done at what point. The total cost of the repairs is in the neighborhood of $40-50,000.
I picked this car specifically due to its history (new engine, no accidents, meticulous owners, kept in the south) and option list (every option except for ventilated seats which cause wear in leather).
My brother purchased the car in 2014 and I bought it from him 1.5 years ago. I travel for work Mon-Thur every week so have not put many miles on her so she spends most of her time in the garage. She has had regular oil changes and is rarely driven over 4k RPMs (and never without being completely warmed up).
The positives:
+ New engine, clutch, etc.
+ No accidents / clean Carfax
+ Completely stock
+ Fully optioned
+ Pristine condition
+ Needs nothing; tires in good shape (~6/32 remaining) and new oil change 1/7/17
The negatives:
+ Few knicks in paint (all very minor)
+ Plastic around rear windshield cracking
+ Rear sunshade is sometimes finicky and doesn't go down on first try
+ Gas mileage is quite bad from the V10
Please let me know if there are any questions and you will not be disappointed. Sad to see her go.
