Before you consider: Read the 74 reviews on KBB.com that average 9.8/10 for the 2000-2003 BMW E39 M5. Car and Driver rated this car the highest ever rated. This is a reliable exotic car that looks like any other car driving down the street, except it has something they ALL don't have:
1. 5 seats, can carry 3 child seats.
2. Manual transmission.
3. V8 with 400hp naturally-aspirated, NO IMPROVEMENT NEEDED!!!
4. 4 doors.
5. A trunk that fits a double stroller or 3 bags of golf clubs.
6. An interior that smells new its entire life.
7. It doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME!"
Plainly selling to downsize to just a low mile 540i 6-speed I can daily drive that I just found, and to get rid of lien on this one along with a eliminating a 3rd vehicle. You will not be disappointed. This is an awe-inspiring car.
Exterior: This one is in Beautiful Carbon Black (more like midnight blue metallic). No issues. Paint is shiny and nearly flawless. The only noticeable blemish is a couple small stone chips (touched up), and a worn rubber gasket around the windshield (replacement included; there are not any leaks currently or foreseen).
Interior: PERFECT Black upgraded leather (The entire interior of the car is leather- even the dash and headliner). The only interior wear is on the Titanium trim on the driver's door, easily fixed if wanted. New OEM floor mats.
Electronics: All fully functional except: 1. A few missing pixels on dash, and 2. Nav/Cassette/CD not working. Radio functions perfectly, and is the best sound system I have ever heard in a car.
Mechanically: No leaks, rattles, smoke, service lights. Normal VANOS noise. Recent: brakes, shocks, struts, axle seals, valve cover gaskets, catalytic converters, serp. belt. New clutch kit, new pilot sports all around. PS system flushed and filled. Coolant flushed and filled. NYS inspected last October. Added 2 magnaflow 14816 mufflers with integrated 3.5" tips and removed the heavy and silent OEM mufflers, which are included in sale.
Service history for last 40K miles on hand and rest is available at delivery dealership. Previous owners maintained at dealer.
