Average used car needs $2,000 in repairs and maintenance but not this one.
Purchased for my grandson. It has been in my name since July 2008 when I got it for my grandson and I paid it off in December 2014. I drive it now and again, usually around town. Around town mileage is about 25 mpg. Open road about 30 mpg. Fun to drive but a little low to the ground for a guy of 70. Great sounding exhaust, shift up or down yourself, premium sound that gets louder if you speed up, automatic air so set it at 71 and it gives heat or AC depending on what you need. It has three position memory seat, moon roof and power everything even passenger seat forward, up and recline. I don't actually care to sell but I got a little too active in Vegas over new year and could use the money and the car is extra.I listed it before I replaced everything but no one wanted to pay anything. The best offer was understandable since a used car is usually not given the care it needs so it takes about $2,000 to bring it to like new. But I've done all of that since I intended to keep it and drive it around town. Relatively new tires, less than 10K, new headliner as the foam got old and let loose. New leather on driver seat where seams let loose. Just had transmission and rear end fluid changed for maintenance. New vacuum hoses to get emission certificate needed in metro Atlanta. Anything at all and I get it done. So drive a almost new car by condition and style and pay a really low price for it. Mileage is as of January 19th but I think I'll drive it to my club in Buckhead for wine club meeting tonight so that adds about 50 miles round-trip. I may go to Harrah's in New Orleans for the weekend but I'll probably take the Town Car. That's 1000 round-trip miles if I take the BMW though. No question of dependable transportation with either the BMW or my 2004 town car with 198K miles. If you take care of a car it takes care of you. If you buy a used car from a dealer or a guy who does not have air tools and know how to use them you better prepare to spend a lot and have a tow truck number handy.
