2002 BMW M3 Description

This is a great example of a well cared for, bone stock, e46 M3 driver in the desirable manual coupe combo. This is an adult owned, two owner car. The original owner had the car from 2002 to 2015, during which the car was dealer serviced. BMW records show that all recall items were addressed, which includes the rod bearing recall. The carfax does show an accident back in 6/2003 at approximately 15,200 miles, but the car was professionally repaired, retains a clean title, and shows absolutely no evidence of any prior damage or repairs.
As I mentioned, this car spent its life as a dealer serviced vehicle, and has since been maintained by a reputable BMW specialist here in Raleigh. Recent maintenance includes ignition coils, crankcase vent, oil change (every 7k miles with OEM parts/fluid), brake and clutch fluid flush, valve adjustment, rear view mirror (auto-dimming function had stopped working), and new tires. This has been a reliable and enjoyable car, and I would feel comfortable driving it across the country tomorrow.
While in the shop for the valve adjustment ($953.45), I asked for the know trouble areas of these cars to be looked at. The rear subframe mounting points are in perfect condition, and there are no VANOS leaks, rattles, or other indications of problems. Items that will need to be addressed include differential output shaft seals (seeping, no drips), and rear speakers. These are not critical items, and do not affect the drivability of the car at present, but should be addressed sometime in the next year or so.
This car drives great, is very fast, and comfortable. Options include upgraded seats with power adjustable bolsters, and the convenience (or luxury?) package, which includes automatic headlights, wipers, and auto-dimming rearview mirror. The interior is in great shape, with no rips, tears, or stains. The top of the rear seat leather is sun baked and has pulled a small area of stitching, which can be seen in the photos. Additionally, the interior door handle trim had started to bubble, which is a common issue for the e46, and has been wrapped in a dark metallic 3M vinyl, which can also be seen in the photos.
I am only selling this car because I am looking to replace it with both a track car and a daily driver. I have the title in hand, and am willing to assist with shipping and arranging a PPI. I am also happy to provide any additional information or more specific photos upon request. OEM 18" wheels with good all season Michelins will also be included.
