This car could be considered a "time capsule". It's a 1989 BMW 325IX sedan with 31,724 original documented miles! It's a 1 owner, originally from New Mexico and later moved to Texas. At both locations it was parked in the owner's garage and was used as a vacation-home car.
There are just a few hundred miles on the timing belt service. All fluids have been changed and there are no leaks. The a/c blows cold. All services logged, including fuel stops! Runs, shifts and drives excellent! There is no rust to speak of, save some very small surface spots here and there (pictured in the photo gallery link below). The mirrors (plastic) will need to be repainted as they are bubbling slightly. There are a couple of small door dings in the driver side rear door that could be removed with paintless dent repair. The front passenger side window regulator does not work, but I will include a new part with the car. The car has a brand new battery installed. Brakes and tires are good!
This car is rare! Only 844 made for the US in 1989, and most of them have long since rusted away up north! A/C blows cold! The manual sunroof operates correctly and smoothly. There are NO cracks in the dash! The original BMW radio/cassette works perfectly. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The seats were covered with BMW sheepskin covers for their whole life (included), consequently the seats are all as new with no cracks or even creases in them. The finish isn't even shiny or worn! The steering wheel was also covered and so it looks as brand new with the texture pattern in place across the whole wheel, and no shiny spots.
This is truly the finest example of this model that I have ever seen, and I've been a BMW enthusiast for years. Either drive it or store it away and make your money (and then some) later on down the line! I will consider partial trades for 2002-2003 BMW E39 M5s
