2010 BMW 3-Series 335i xDrive Description

Overview:

After saving money for two years from my first job, I decided to buy the used car of my dream, the 2010 twin-turbo BMW 335i xDrive. I bought it from BMW Fairfax and have loved it ever since. It has served me well in city, rural, and interstate driving through snow, the heat, and everything in between. Since then, I have gotten married and it is time to start thinking about a family and so it is time to say bye to my first real car.

The Good:

I have treated this car like my own child and was sure that it was running at 100%. I bought the extended coverage to 60k miles and since then have been meticulous about servicing the car schedule. For those interested, I am happy ot send you the full Carfax that shows most of the maintenance as well as the supplemental maintenance documents to fill in what the Carfax leaves out.

Moreover, I have made sure that the engine is humming and recently did a walnut blasting to maximize horsepower. It has never seen any accidents and has been fully detailed recently.

The Not-So Good:

I want to be as clear and as transparent as possible therefore:

As with most cars of this age, there are a series of knicks and knacks on the car. Most prominently, there are scratches on the passenger side door that cannot be buffed out. While none of them are noticeable from 2 feet away, they are very visible at the one inch mark. I went to multiple body shops and they asked between $1500-$2000 for a full takedown, sanding, priming, and repainting. I honestly feel like it is not worth it.

Also, the steering wheel has started to peel as well the driver door plastic area. It is not very noticeable and an easy fix for anyone with some time and experience in sanding, priming, and painting.
