Up for auction isa 1987 BMW Model M6 Coupe! The 1987 M6 is a rarity, and a great find in the case of this particular vehicle. The M6 has beencritically acclaimedfor its sleek, elegant design andluxury features, not to mention its speed and performance excellence.

The U.S.M6 was fitted with the catalyzed S38 motor, producing 256 hp and 243 ft·lbf of torque. The M6 was good for a 0-60 mph time of 6.8 seconds. Car and Driver Magazine tested the U.S. M6 in July of 1987 and achieved a 0-60 mph time of 6.1 seconds.In addition, Road and Track featured the U.S. M6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in America in 1987.

A limited number ofM6's were produced between 1987 and 1989. Only 1787 of those were North American models. Here is your opportunity to invest in a Phenomenal Collector Vehicle!

The well-sorted M6 you are bidding on is in Excellent mechanical and Good physical condition. Color is Royal Metallic Blue exterior and Parchment White Leather interior.The VIN number is WBAEE1407H2560070. Current mileage is 119459.The paint is ok, with some etching and could ultimately use a respray someday. No visible rust. The engine is gorgeous, very clean, with no leaks. Extremely well maintained, with an extensive list of new parts. The interior is in good condition, with a few blemishes here and there. Some leather replacement pieces are not a perfect color match, but you do have to look hard to see it.A TMS performance chip has been installed.The original chip also comes with the car.OEM trunk tool kit is complete.Clean Washington title and current registration.

The following work has recently been accomplished on this M6:

• Complete tune-up – 6 plugs, rotor, distributor cap, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter
• Replace ignition wires
• Replace all hoses, belts, thermostat, and refill with fresh coolant
• Replace starter, alternator, coil, and water pump
• New brake pads and rotors, rebuild calipers, flush with fresh brake fluid
• Replace hydraulic brake booster
• Replace clutch master and slave cylinders
• Replace timing chain, sprockets, tensioners, and guides.
• Replace throttle body boots
• Replace clutch and polish pressure plate
• Replace all sensors – coolant temperature, throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor, idle control valve, thermo time switch, and aux fan switch
• 15,000 mile valve adjustment recently accomplished
• New battery

The following mechanical issueswere identified during a recent inspection:

• Play in shift linkage (front shift knuckle), minor binding from 2nd to 3rd
• Minor rattle in exhaust during idle
• Driver door key bezelbroken
• BBS wheels could use detailing, new tires
• Minor cracks in front spoiler
• Minor power steering fluid leakage steering box and hoses
• The spare wheel is different from the four mounted wheels
• Left rear window is not in working condition
• Right washer jet clogged
• Cigarette lighter and ash tray light are not working
• Power antenna works but is "sticky"
