You are bidding on a 2002 BMW E46 325Ci that I have listed for my girlfriend who purchased it in 2003 and owned it since then. The car is being sold as-is for repair or parts as it has been sitting for two years outside in the Florida sun without being driven or even started. She had a new car supplied by her employer in early 2014 and this car wasn't used much and has sat in her driveway since mid-2015. It had a lot of maintenance prior to sitting and which I've listed below, all confirmed with invoices that I have and will provide with the car. I have not attempted to start the car as the gas is old and I'm cautious of causing any damage due to the engine as it has sat for so long. The car was running prior to it sitting and it has everything complete as far as I can see. I don't know much about this car except what it says on the paperwork she gave me and from walking around it and taking pictures.
I have provided many pictures and what you see in the pictures is what you are bidding on. If you need me to provide any specific pictures of anything not shown let me know and I will supply them. I have described this as best as I can so if you have any questions please ask me before bidding and I will supply answers to the best of my ability. My girlfriend now simply wants this gone from her driveway as soon as possible, so I have started the auction at only $300 with no reserve for a quick sale.
The Good
This BMW came from the factory with the premium sports package and the Harman Kardonpremium sound system. It is black sapphire metalic with a grey leather interior. It has factory fitted 17x8 alloy wheels, power adjustable front sports seats and white indicator lenses. It also has 5-speed manual transmission, a power glass moonroof and bi-xenon headlights. The wheels are in fair condition with only minor road rash from normal use. I have operated electrical items such as power windows, moonroof, audio system, ac controls, instruments, etc and they all work.
Despite the high mileage I've been told the car drove very well prior to sitting and from the mountain of paperwork it was serviced and maintained on schedule. Although it looks bad due to the faded paint and some wear to the interior, there are many good and nearly new parts on this car. Maybe a competent mechanic can service it and make it a useable car again, I really don't know even if it will start and I am not prepared to try. It needs to be checked by a competant mechanic before any attempt to start it, so you will have to arrange to have it towed to your premises without starting it. I have invoices for the following work done prior to it sitting, it has done few if any miles since this work was done:
The Bad
The paint is badly faded and the window tint is blistered and coming off. The full leather interior shows sun damage but apart from the drivers seat, which requires recovering, the leather looks like it would come back with some conditioner. The door leather panels and rear seats look good for their age, the dash looks in good shape and the only other interior damage I can see is that the trim on the inside pillars is loose and coming off. There is some creasing to the LH bodywork along the door and rear panel just above the side trim, I cannot see any other body damage but there may be a few spots and dings that I have overlooked. The engine looks clean and everything looks as it should be under the hood.It had new front and rear rotors and pads before it sat but these now have surface rust and will need cleaning or turning to bring them back. It also had complete new front struts, bushes, control arms and rear dampers and these all still look good, it also had various engine components and ancilliary parts replaced before it sat.
This car is also being listed on other sites and I reserve the right to stop the auction and remove the listing at any time before it ends if it sells elsewhere first. Winning bidder must pay a $300 deposit immediately (within 24 hours) and the balance in cash on collection of the car. The car is located in Stuart Florida. If you are the winning bidder you are obligated to purchase it for the amount you bid. If you cannot pay do not bid and as a winning bidder you cannot decide after seeing the car that you do not want it as I am selling it as-is with pictures and what you see is what you are bidding on. If you do want to examine the car before you bid please contact me and I shall arrange this. If you are buying this car sight-unseen, you should rely solely on the information supplied in this listing. The $300 deposit is not refundable if you decide to not pay any balance due and walk away after you are the winning bidder. I reserve the right to relist the car immediately in accordance with eBay non-paying buyer rules.
Good luck and happy bidding!
On Mar-02-17 at 07:59:55 PST, seller added the following information:To answer a few questions I've had about this car: Interior wear: The leather drivers seat is toast and needs recovering, all the other leather seats have some wear but don't seem to have any tears and probably just need a good conditioning to bring them back. The leather door panels and center armrest all have minimal wear but look good to me. Battery: The battery is in the car and still has a charge. It was disconnected while the car sat and I have reconnected it and turned the key to check the operation of all the electrics in the car, instruments, lights, power windows and moonroof, radio, etc and everything works as far as I can tell. AC Snitzer: There is an AC Snitzer accessories brochure included in the paperwork, that's all I know, there are no invoices or other paperwork that say AC Snitzer. Lights: It has HID headlights and LED tailights and they all work, the LED tailights and the HID lens covers were replaced in 2015. The front turn signal lenses were clear from the factory as they are listed as clear on the delivery sheet from BMW. Audio: It has the factory fitted subwoofer system and all the speakers work as far as I can tell. Keys: I can find one key, which is not in great shape, but works in the door and ignition switch. There is also an emergency (plastic) key which looks like it has never been used. Towing: This must be towed and worked on in your own premises. You cannot tinker or attempt to get this car started in the gated community where it now sits. I cannot arrange towing, that's up to you. Payment and collection: A deposit of US $300.00 is required within 24 hours of auction close & full payment and collection is required within 3 days of auction close.
