2002 BMW M3 Description

Brief History
I bought this car to use as a daily driver but my OCD got to me and she ended up becoming a weekend only car. I planned on my wife using the car more but unfortunately, she does not like to drive it and fears she will damage this beautiful car.
This particular M3 spent most of its life in warmer states and has not been driven on salted roads. The car carries a clean Autocheck and Carfax. The Carfax shows more owners than Autocheck but their calculationis incorrect. Some of the owners are the same person but had moved to another state. I can provide copies of both reports free of charge.
Since I purchased the car in 2015 she has had over $11k in maintenance and upgrades. I am taking a bath on her but I want to move back into a c6 Z06 for the summer and I need more garage space to build the next car.I am not planning on doing anything to the car at this time other than selling it as is. Please do not contact me for part outs. If that time comes I will relist the car in it's stock form.
I have almost every maintenance record since new. Most are more recent but I do have a dealer printout of any services rendered. I will include all my records as well as the window sticker to the next owner. Vanos Tabs are intact (I have pictures from the last valve adjustment 2016), sub frame has been addressed, and she had a new block put in by the dealership due to rod bearing failure. in 2006. This was during their repair campaign. Vanos and rod bearings are two of the most important items to address in the s54 inline 6. You can have piece of mind with my car. The engine only has approx. 81k on her now and 118,xxx miles on the chassis. All the typical failure points have been addressed and this should be one very reliable E46 for the next owner to enjoy.
The trim and convertible top presents itself very well. The SMG is perfect and utilizes CSL parameters via a TTFS SMG tune. Auto Rev Match and perfect 80ms Shifts every time. All fluids have been changed regularly and the pump/accumulator prime and pass all DIS/GT1 tests with flying colors. I have never had a single hiccup with this car and the auto mode even works great in traffic.
The car has had some paintwork despite not having a single accident. I chose to have her resprayed (Original color) due to some burn through in the clear coat and to fix some key marks. 100% only cosmetic. This was done at A&L Autobody. The entire car was primered, blocked and resprayed. I do have pics in the photobucket link below for you to view. This includes before and after shots. The car has not been in any accidents. If you are in the Chicagoland BMW scene you know that A&L is the best when it comes to paint and body work in the NW burbs. The owner Anthony is a fellow ///M enthusiast.
This car is presented AS-IS. I will trade plus cash (on my end) for a C6 Z06 roller or complete car. Keep in mind any 10K e46 M3 you buy will quickly become a $20k M3 after you address the failure points. I welcome someone to inspect the car in person. I have a lift in my garage and will gladly put her up on it for you to see for yourself.
Things to address in the future
- Have Fibernew refresh the driver's seat $250
- Fix the rear bumper sag. This happens with age. I will include the BMW repair kit for this. It is a common issue which is why they make a repair kit with new clips. If it gets warmer out I will install the clips myself.- Missing a couple 10mm Nuts for the beauty cover over the Valve cover. A set can be had for $29 on eBay. I left them loose when changing the spark plus and lost a few.
Few small rock chips here and there. I have the majority touched up. The paint is a year old so the car looks quite mint.
