2011 BMW M3 Dinan S1 (lots of upgrades) (2011.75)
2011 BMW M3 Description
My family has grown and I have more cars than I have room for and unfortunately it is time to let go of my beloved 2011.75 BMW M3 Convertible. This car is immaculate, you will not find a cleaner or better cared for M3 around. This car is fully loaded with every option available from BMW. The sticker price was almost $90k. I won't bore you with a page long list, but the bottom line is that if BMW offered it, this car has it. This car has always been garaged and is professionally detailed twice a year. No accidents or body work and never tracked.
This car has 27k miles on it and was used as my commuter from Pleasanton to Palo Alto. It has been a joy to drive. I distinctly remember waking up before my alarm in anticipation of my drive to work. It has never been tracked. All services have been performed and the car needs nothing. Tires (Bridgestone RE-71Rs) have ~90% tread and registration is paid and current. Just take the keys and enjoy.
The Basics...
4.0l V8 (One of the best sounding engines of all time)
7 Speed DCT Transmission
Top Level Stereo (Individual I Believe)
2011.75 (Means it has all the upgrades of the 2012 but is technically a 2011)
Retractable hardtop convertible
On to the upgrades.....
The major upgrade is the Dinan S1 kit which was installed by Dinan at a cost of just over $8,500. The S1 package includes the Dinan Exhaust, Dinan Intake, Engine software upgrade, Dinan Stage 1 Suspension w/ supplemental ride quality and handling kit, Dinan strut tower bars, and Dinan Pedals In addition to the S1 package the car has Dinan's DCT software upgrade as well. (I did end up removing the intake as Dinan never got it CARB approved).
The car also has a full custom clear bra on all the front panels. This is not a pre-cut kit, but a custom wrap by Auto Pro Films. Cost was $1,500 for the wrap.
Windows were tinted by Rocky Mountain Window Tint professionally at a cost of ~$500.
I also decided to replace the rod bearings. If you have not researched these cars, you may ask why with such low mileage. If you have researched these cars, you will know that you can't spend more than 5 minutes on the M3 forum without becoming paranoid that your rod bearings might fail at any minute. The rod bearings were replace with OEM WPC treated bearings by Performance Technic in Dublin. If you know BMWs then you know Performance Technic. Cost was about $2,200 for the bearings.
Although this car is fully loaded, I was surprised to find there was never and option for a backup camera. I added an aftermarket camera that was installed by Alekshop. Cost was ~$350 installed.
Alekshop also installed the M-performance style carbon rear spoiler. Cost was ~$500.
The stock wheels were also coated gloss black inside which hides brake dust very well and looks great.
Over $14k total in upgrades and as you can see, I have only used the best shops in the bay area for any work performed on this car.
