1999 BMW 3-Series Base Convertible 2-Door Description

You are bidding on a 1999 BMW 323iC Convertible. It is a very strong running, quick car with 166k original miles. It is a five-speed manual transmission. It has very few dents dings or scratches anywhere and looks like new. The front seats show a tiny bit of wear. The driver's seat specifically has a popped seam across one of the panels (pictured.) The carpet is relatively clean as is most of the interior. Most electronic options function properly - climate control, windows, locks, on-board computer. The radio needs the code - which I do not have. If I have the chance to run over to BMW dealership to get it prior to the end of auction, I will do so. The power mirrors do not work. It might be a fuse but I have not investigated to determine the cause. I just had the front and rear brakes done. The "check control" light is on because one of the brake lights is out. The canvas top is in good condition - no leaks (I drove it through the carwash looking for them specifically.) As is common for BMW, the rear "window" (read: clear plastic) is yellowed due to sun damage. This was apparently a regular issue that BMW solved years later by replacing with glass. The shifter knob is loose and will need to be replaced. I had to jump it the other day - it had been sitting for a month or so - and after it ran for a bit, I was able to start and restart it again without issue, but the battery may be a concern sooner rather than later. Tires and rims are in good shape - not a great deal of road rash visible. Paint is in good condition overall. There is a small rust spot (pictured) at the trunk. It will need a little bit of TLC with the things that I have mentioned but overall this is a great car and really fun to drive. The oil has another few thousand miles as I had changed it in February and have not driven more than 50 miles since. The car drives well and I'm sure you will get as much enjoyment as I have. I have had to repeatedly tell my daughters they are not getting this car (teenagers!) It has a great deal of curb appeal - top up or down.

Notice to all bidders: If this is your first time bidding on an auction, please contact me via email prior to bidding or I will cancel your bids. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of auction end via Paypal. There is an $130 processing fee due in addition to the final auction price. Buyer pays all expenses and makes all arrangements for transportation of the vehicle at auction end - we do not provide tags for transportation. Balance must be paid and vehicle picked up within 7 days of auction end. This is NOT a new vehicle - do not expect it to present, ride and drive like a new vehicle. Vehicle is being sold "AS-IS" with an attempt to give the best description of all known defects - if any. In most cases, buyers have found that the description meets or exceeds expectations. Please bid with confidence and sincerity.
