2001 BMW 3-Series Sport Description

Thank you for checking out my 2001 BMW M3. This vehicle is adult owned (76) and cared for as it sleeps inside and driven with respect. I never thought I would offer the M3 for sale but I just bought a Lexus is-F and can't keep both. I am the second owner and purchased it at a Title Max auction where the owner borrowed money and in a short while he had to default. Apparently he owned a BMW performance center and here is what he wrote about the brake adjustments he made to this vehicle:
My next BMW was a 2001 BMW E46 M3, a great car with the only immediate Achilles heel being its stock brakes. They have a tendency to overheat when utilizing the E46 M3 S54B32 engine to its full potential. During this process I reached out and made friends with the very talented Don Burgoon owner of Performance Friction Brakes. His company supplied race car brakes to the BMW NA works team PTG E46 M3 GT, GTR and GT2 race cars. I upgraded to the Performance Friction Brakes aluminum hat, floating rotors and carbon brake pads specifically cut to fit in the street car BMW calipers. NOTE BMW Motorsport did a fantastic job fixing this issue in the new F80/F82 M3/M4 with carbon metallic brake pads and rotors, effectively removing the brake fade problem forever.
I put on new headlight lens covers, new "A" post covers, floor mats and tires with the Costco warranty. The M3 is near perfect and always parks in show position when valet parked at trendy Scottsdale restaurants. Having 11 vehicles is not good for a man of my age (76) so with urging of the women folk in my life I am thinning the fleet. Buy in confidence, read my reviews and you will not be disappointed in owning this classic coupe. I have the owner's manual and two keys.
