2005 BMW M3 Alpine White Low Miles
2005 BMW M3 Base Coupe 2-Door Description
Hello Everyone,
I have decided to list my 2005 BMW M3 for sale. This Alpine White E46 M3 is in excellent condition, and I already know I will regret selling it. I am traveling to Europe though, and would like to sell the car before I leave. This M3 is in very original condition, and is an original 6-speed Manual Transmission equipped car (3 pedals).
I bought the car in February 2016, and have added nearly 17k miles in my ownership. 95% of the mileage is due to my love of road trips, and car events. I brought the car with me all over the country in 2016, including trips from VA to Maine, Florida, and Texas, as well as TX to Colorado, Florida, and Virginia. The lifetime average mpg indicated by the OBC is 23.2 and average mph around 55. I have a log of every single fuel receipt since I took ownership, and have always used 93 octane. The M3 has never left me stranded, and as you will likely find out, is an amazing car.
The overall condition of my M3 is excellent. I would rate it a 9.6 on my scale, and will be would be happy to explain said scale to anyone interested.
Exterior Condition: 9.0
The Alpine White paint is all original, and presents in excellent shape. There are no dents or dings on the body of the car, and no corrosion or rust is present anywhere. The reason I have rated the exterior condition a 9.0 are for 2 minor issues. First, there is a small indention under the front passenger side of the front bumper. And second, there are some scuffs on the driver side rear wheel well. Other than these small issues, normal rock chips are present on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood and front fenders. None of these items really show up in photos, but I am happy to try and capture them for prospective buyers. You will not be disappointed in the look of this car. Alpine white over black is an amazing color combination, and a desirable one at that. The wheels are in perfect, like new condition.
Interior Condition: 9.7
You wont have much luck finding a car with a cleaner interior in the price and milage range. The interior is largely original and is the somewhat rare Black Nappa Leather/M-Cloth combination. The seats are powered. The ONLY wear inside the car is limited to the driver side seat bolsters. Only slight creases are present. There are no tears, stains, or rips present anywhere.
During my ownership I have replaced the driver side door pull, lower steering wheel trim, and center console. All trim pieces are OEM Titan, and the center console is OEM, with the european slider compartment. The dash, carpets, headliner and pillars are without fault. The A pillars show extremely light sagging at their bottom edges, but are nothing to worry about. All functions work as they should, and the air conditioning blows cold. The ONLY item in the interior that could now use replacing is the passenger side window switch, since the switch light for the front passenger window has gone out. The windows function properly. Please feel free to request photos, you will be pleased at the condition of all interior components. There are also ZERO scratches present on the soft touch elements, i.e. area under radio.
Mechanical Condition: 10
This M3 has only just started its life. The car cooks. As I stated earlier, I have put nearly 17k miles on the car in 13 months. I wouldn't apologize for a single mile. I have been as careful with the mechanical condition as I have all other areas. The oil and filter have been changed every 4-5k miles with a MANN or MAHLE filter, and Liquimoloy 10w-60 Synthetic motor oil. The car burns NO oil. The car leaks NO oil. I have just completed an oil change, so the buyer should be encouraged to put the pedal to the metal. I have kept all receipts from service. I would also like to mention that I have never just started the car and driven off. I have always observed a warm-up period of at least 3 minutes before putting the car in gear.
I will list the modifications I have made later, but would like you to know I only tuned and modified the suspension, with exception to the intake. Again, you could eat off the motor.
I have had the subframe inspected at each service, and there are NO signs of fatigue. I have also had the VANOS inspected, recently, and I was given no reason to worry. That said, the VANOS has not been replaced/bullet proofed. And, Inspection II has not been completed.
