2003 BMW 5-Series Base Sedan 4-Door Description

7 years ago I bought this for my bil--he had to have a 5 speed. 2 years ago he gave it me to sell. I was daily driving my e28 M5, and this car drove circles around it. I sold the M5, and have been daily drivingthis. This car is sensational in all ways, and still manages 30 mpg on the highway, and low 20's in the city. It is amazingly fast in all forward gears, but I guess you know this already. All pictures taken March 25, 2017.
The sunroof motors operate, but it is off track. No leaks, but my mechanic told me not to use it. One of the taillights has a connection issue, but it is intermittent. Everything else works, and works well. The valve cover gasket has been replaced, as have all pcv components, oil filter housingand o rings and breather hoses, but it uses or loses oil somewhere. I do not know how much because this has been a second or third car for me, s, every couple of months or so I add a quart. Really great commentary on this model on BAT: bringatrailer 2002-bmw-530i/but I cannot add a link to this ad..........
Cosmetic and general conditioncommensuratewith a 14 year old car with these miles. This is not a show car, and would benefit from a good detail. New OEM floor mats included. MID refurbished. I daily drive this car, as should you. Please, inspect this yourself, or have someone do that for you. I sold my 1988 M5 2 years ago on eBay. The purchaser flew in from Cincinnati, and drove it home. I asked him for positive feedback, but he complained about "issues" with that 27 year old car. I'm a car guy, but not an auto mechanic. Good luck to all.

I meant to mention that I installed a Europeanonly armrest--in leather!--which has storage inside, and changed out some of the vents for black ones. Aftermarket cupholders up front, and TEC in the console storage box. One floor carpet molding has been replaced with a black one, but the other has some minor damage. I have a brand new set of OEM floor mats, included, and a European only fire extinguisher for this model. My bil still has the CD changer cartridge, so I will try to include that, but reluctant to make a promise......repaired stone chips in front and some door dings did not show up in the pictures.
