1975 BMW 2002 Description

This is not an amateur-hour restoration. The car was completely restored by a mechanic as his personal project. It won Best in Class at a World of Wheels auto show.

The car was originally from California. It was stripped down to bare metal for the restoration. Details include:

• Rebuilt engine with JE pistons and increased 9.8:1 compression
• Bosch fuel injection system from a 1985 BMW 318i
• 5-speed transmission from BWM 320i
• Posi-rear differential from BMW 320i
• Over-sized brake kit –– disc in front; drum in back
• Air conditioning
• Nardi steering wheel
• 205/50R 15” tires
• Leather dashboard
• Upgraded Pioneer stereo with Kenwood speakers
• Remote entry + key fob
• Power windows

ThThis is one of the most fun-to-drive cars you’ll ever experience.The only reason I am selling is I had back surgery, and it hurts to sit in any car. So ...what needs work?Car has the original upholstery.The rear seat and the passenger seat are fine, but the driver’s seat has some ripples / tears.(See photo).Headliner could be updated.There is NO rust.Car has, of course, been stored through winters.
