2008 BMW 3-Series 335i Description

For sale is a vehicle I am sad to let go :( A 2008 BMW 335I Coupe in Montego Blue! This car has a Salvage Title, and will not be driven home as it has a short somewhere. I have had the car started, running, and moving under its own power, but it is in a safety mode of some kind and after a few starts a mosfet in the DME needs to be replaced preventing restart. This car has good compression and when I changed the oil and filter both looked perfect. I would be keeping this car, but I purchased it just before I received a job offer across the country and I have no place to do the work on it.
The Good:

• No rust - Car came from Florida
• Engine has been tested to run
• Engine has good compression
• Dash is working
• Power locks are working
• Headlights are working (high, low, and automatic leveling)
• Fog lights are working
• Power folding mirrors are working
• Turn signals are working
• New battery included
• Key Fob included and working
• All parts included
• Extra set of power seats included
• Extra set of door panels included
• DME included
• Mosfets included if wanted
• You can come and check out the car and do any tests on it before you bid!

The Bad:

• Flood salvage title
• Car will need to be towed onto trailer and home
• Interior partially disassembled
• No drivers side tail light
• Car has short in some part of the electrical system
• Radio module in trunk will need to be replaced as water got to it
• Crack in bottom passenger side portion of windshield (see picture)
• Could use new tires
• Lowest section of front bumper has some paint peeling back
• Will likely require a few modules, odds, and ends to make the car a working vehicle
• Will likely want to replace front seats
• Working condition of extra power seats and panels unknown/untested
• BMW emblem missing from front and rear
• Brake disks should be cleaned to remove rust from sitting

I have tried my best to be upfront with everything I know about the car, I spent a long time looking for this vehicle before I finally ended up buying this for a project because I didnt want something that required too much work to fix up. As I stated this does have a salvage title, finding the short and potential other unknown problems may present a challenge to many, so please do not buy this unless you have a good understanding of the systems involved. The pictures are from when I purchased the vehicle from a yard in Florida that had not been paid by the owner - the vehicle still looks exactly as pictured.
I wanted to replace the entire interior because I hate the gray color and assumed this would allow me to find the issue, unfortunately I never got that far and the interior is mostly intact besides the front seats being unbolted and access panel beneath the steering wheel being accessed.
