1986 BMW 635 C Si
1986 BMW 6-Series Base Description
This is a very nice car. As with any car this age, there are a couple of caveats. The speedometer quit working at 145K miles. I have not looked into it but given how little I drive this vehicle, I doubt it has more than 150K. The electronic trip computer hasn't worked since I've owned the car and I know nothing about it. The AC compressor clutch is starting to make noise with increasing frequency and will likely need to be replaced. The rear window buttons work intermittently due to non-use. Aside from these little items, the car runs and looks great. Although located in Mississippi, I bought the car in Santa Barbara, CA, and it has been a SoCal car all it's life. It is completely rust free and has been garaged as long as I've owned it. It has a few stone chips ere and there but the paintwork is 95%. There is no rust in the trunk, it has the original, full-sized TRX rim and tire and also has the complete BMW service kit in its own compartment on the underside of the trunk lid. It has Goodyear Assurance tires all around with the back being brand new with less than 100 miles on them and the fronts being about 65%. Although not a daily driver, I have, and continue to, use it as a grocery getter around town.
