BMW 2002 Turbo. One of 1672 built. The best Turbo on the market today!

Incredibly beautiful original 2002 Turbo. Car number #1002 of 1672 built. German deliverd car. Produced on 22.7.1974 and delivered to BMW Dealer Autohaus Bernhard Lindner KG in Blaichach, Germany on 24.7.1974. With a 5-speed Dogleg gearbox, very exclusive.On 20-5-1983 this car was imported to Switzerland. We have bought this car from Mr. Pereira-Lopes, a Portugese car-restorer. He restored this car for his wife Irene, the restoration was his masterpiece and the car was restored to the last detail. Since Mr. and Mrs. Pereira-Lopez are 60+ years old now the Turbo wasnt driven anymore.

Some years ago the car has been completely restored. The body was dipped to strip of all paint, to bare metal. There has never been welded on this car! The owner didnt spare any costs or effort to bring this car to a mint condition. Everything was done with extreme care and skill. Really a masterpiece ande definitely the best 2002 Turbo on the market today. The underbody of this car is just as shiny as the top. There is no Stone-chip-protection on this car. Just honest silver painted sheetmetal. ‘What you see is what you get’.

Unique car. The car has low mileage and was storaged dry for many years. The all original sheetmetal is in a perfect condition. Perfect shutlines and beautifully straight. The car was completely repainted in its factory color Polaris silver metallic, beautifully done, without any marks. All trim parts like rubbers, chrome trim, bumper, gasket, lights, blinkers etc. on this car are brand new and the car makes a like-new impression! Level of fit and finish is very high.

After the restoration the car was treated with an anti-rust ‘grease’ on the underbody and the hollow sections. The matching numbers engine was rebuilt and runs perfectly smooth. Obviously all attachments are brand new and/or rebuilt. The braking system and suspension have been redone as well. It sits on a set of 4 refurbished Alpina wheels with brand new tires. Technically 100% sound and the car is a joy to drive.

On the inside the car is very original. Seats in original condition, dashboard (crackfree) with the Turbo speedo and ofcouse the Turbo extra-isntruments, as it should be. Carpets and headliner in perfect original condition. Ofcourse a BMW Bavaria radio.A BMW Classic certificate is present. The car comes with swiss documents.
